Sophie Thompson spoke about shooting chase scenes for Deathly Hallows. Sophie plays Mafalda Hopkirk, who Hermione Granger turns into in the film.
“We did a few days a couple of weeks ago… we were running away from these dementors, which Harry Potter people will know are these horrible creatures that suck out your very soul and they had to slow me down.
“I was in my high heels and everything because I’m playing this little secretary character … but I was running down the corridor, and they said: ‘Soph, you’re going too fast! Nobody can keep up!'”
In a new interview with Fandango, Jason Isaacs discusses the final two Harry Potter films! Most of the interview was stuff we read already, but here is some new stuff:
“There is nothing greater than sitting around on a ‘Harry Potter’ set when you’re not filming and listening to the likes of Maggie Smith, Michael Gambon, Bill Nighy, and Jim Broadbent tell stories,” Isaacs said. “And watching everybody chew the scenery up in the few moments you get on screen, trying to out-ham each other, is magnificent. This big franchise goes out in an epic way.”
[…]
Speaking of rollercoasters, Isaacs is less than enthusiastic about the idea of a ride inspired by his character at the “Potter” theme park. “Do you really want to go on a Lucius Malfoy ride?” he wondered. “The carriages would fly off or something.”
