Museum of Modern Art to Show All Harry Potter Films

Starting on July 9th, The Museum of Modern Arw will be holding an event called “A View from the Vaults: Warner Bros. Today.”  In this series they will be celebrating Warner Bros studio by showing some of their most iconic films.  According to the website, “This selection of Warner Bros. productions from the past 20 years, all drawn from MoMA’s collection, illustrates the studio’s continuing commitment to the artistic and commercial legacy of the four Warner brothers, some 90 years later.

The Harry Potter films will be shown from Saturday July 21st through Friday July 26th at the following times and locations:

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part I Airing on ABC Family in May

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part I will have it’s television debut on Sunday May 12th during ABC Family’s Red Carpet Weekend.  The full lineup is as follows, other films will be airing before and after, such as Hocus Pocus, Hairspray and Twilight, we’ve only listed the Potter times below:

Saturday May 11th

  • 1:00pm – Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire
  • 4:30pm – Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix
  • 7:30pm – Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince

Saturday May 12th

  • 9:30am- Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire

Video: Wand Week at Warner Bros. Studio Tour London

This week is Wand Week at Warner Bros. Studio Tour London – The Making of Harry Potter and to celebrate the Harry Potter Facebook page released a video on how to use a wand with Paul Harris, who choreographed the wand battles in the final film. The studio tour also had a special guest today, Chris Rankin! He was on hand, along with Paul Harris, to answer fan questions on the Warner Bros Studio Tour Twitter.

Delve into the world of wand making, spell casting and wizarding duels this February, during our first ever Wand Week.

  • Special effects and choreography experts from the Harry Potter film series will be involved in creating the activities for Wand Week.
  • Discover how fight scenes were developed and the incredible amount of planning that went into each wand movement.
  • Original moulds, concept art and wand designs will be showcased in the attraction.
  • For the first time, Ollivander’s authentic costume (as worn by John Hurt) will be on display at the entrance of his famous wand shop.
  • Our knowledgeable staff members will be on hand to share many of the behind-the-scenes secrets of the most successful film series of all time.

Harry Potter Cast Members Attend Sky Movies HD iPad Screening In The Great Hall

Yesterday Sky Movies along with WB Studio Tour held an event in The Great Hall to celebrate the fact that Sky will be the only channel broadcasting all eight Potter films this holiday season.  This morning they have sent over some photos of Jessie Cave and Oliver Phelps at the event as well as a press release. Our correspondent Patrick was there as well, so I’m sure we’ll be getting a report and some photos from him as well, stay tuned!

Sky has also revealed that they will have a lot of behind the scenes footage as well as an interview with Daniel Radcliffe.  All the details may be read in the press release below:

Harry Potter™ stars Jessie Cave and Oliver Phelps (Lavender Brown and George Weasley in the films) yesterday attended a special screening of the Harry Potter™ films at the Great Hall set at Leavesden.

To celebrate all eight of the Harry Potter™ films being available on Sky’s set-top box, on the comprehensive TV On Demand service and Sky Go, the award-winning multiplatform TV service, Sky Movies HD hosted a screening event in the famous surroundings, allowing fans to choose their own film from theseries to stream on iPad throughout the evening.

Deathly Hallows Ultimate Edition Available Exclusively at Target

We previously reported that the Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Ultimate Editions would be released on October 16th.  Today, however, my friend, Michael R, let me know that he bought a two pack containing both films today at Target! They cost $49.99, the retail price is $69.99, and they are available exclusively at Target until January.

According to BFE, there are 6 discs (4 BD / 2 DVD + UV Digital Copy) and special features are as follows:

Release Date Set for Deathly Hallows Ultimate Editions; Double Feature Coming Soon

We now know the release date for the Ultimate Editions of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Parts 1 and 2.  Amazon’s page has been updated to state that, what appears s to be the Ultimate Editions, will be released on October 16th.  You can pre-order both for $30.99 and $31.47 respectively on Blu-Ray. (Part 1, Part 2) Thanks to Hypable for the tip!

We have discovered that there will also be a Part 1 and 2 two pack released on the same day and is priced at $24.99!

Fans will also recall that the Harry Potter Wizard’s Collection will be released next Friday, September 7th!
