As you recall, yesterday Empire released a quick video interview with Rupert Grint, today they have released one with Tom Felton (there is also a longer text version).
What was your last scene?
There were a couple. One of my last scenes as a group was us, 19 years on, on the platform at King’s Cross. That was really quite fitting, because one of my first scenes was as a 10 year old being put on the train there, ten years ago literally to the day, so it was really weird and suitable that that fit. My very last one was a night shoot on 2nd unit just by myself. I was shot walking away after the battle, I believe, so again, that was really nice because there’s always a tighter feeling with the 2nd unit crew.
A new commercial for the MTV movie awards has aired where Daniel Radcliffe is preparing to go on stage for How To Succeed in Business Without Really Trying and is interrupted. Don’t forget that Harry Potter and its stars are nominated in multiple categories, so be sure to vote!
Thanks to SnitchSeeker we have some coverage news on Tom Feltons’ appearance at this years Big Apple Comic Con. For the full coverage, including audio and more photos, head to SnitchSeeker, I have posted the some information below. BEWARE: The last bullet point is a Deathly Hallows Part II spoiler!
Tom revealed that the Deathly Hallows Part II USA premiere will take place in New York City (but there is no date yet)
At one point during one of the first two Harry Potter films, Tom was rather frustrated to the point of actual tears over learning a particular line (though did not say which), but director Chris Columbus had told him the scene went fine. However, the scene in question was never released, either in the final film or deleted scenes. Tom joked that to be a good actor, you just get your lines right, or your scene will be cut.
Half-Blood Prince, as Tom has noted many times, was his favourite to film, and in the series. He said it was the only one of the films where he performed from the beginning to end of production, and was especially pleased to get personal screentime with Alan Rickman as Snape, whom he said that, despite the ‘sexy voice’, was daunting.
Tom said that at one point, where the good guys and bad guys are lined up against each other outside Hogwarts, Voldemort asks those who want to survive to take allegiance with him. Draco, who initially stood on the side of good, is called over by his parents to join Voldemort’s side, and he hesitantly complies.
Tom Felton is featured in the June issue of Teen Vogue magazine. In the one page interview he talks about Potter and some of his upcoming films. Subscribers should have received the issue already, but I’m not sure when it will be on newsstands, but I assume it will be soon. View the scans in the gallery!
