Alan Rickman interview from press junket
Posted by Megs

There is a new transcript online from the Sweeney Todd press junket which Alan Rickman attended. In the interview he confirms he will be back as Professor Snape.

QUESTION: How did your work schedule play into the next ‘Harry Potter’ film? Did you go from one to the other or did they overlap at all? I know that in ‘Half-Blood Prince’ there’s a lot for you to do in that film?

RICKMAN: Yeah, but they still have to get inside a certain period of time. I do seven weeks. I can’t even remember when we shot the last one so I think – we shot ‘Sweeney Todd’ this year – it was over a year ago that I did ‘Order of the Phoenix’.

Emma's Site Updated
Posted by Megs

Emma’s site has been updated once again. With news on Ballet Shoes and Hlaf-Blood Prince Filming.

Hellooo,
The BBC have now added a feature about Ballet Shoes to their website! You can read interviews with the cast (including Emma) and also find writer Heidi Thomas’ thoughts on the cast and hose she feels the film turned out.

Additionally; for those who have asked, Emma begins filming Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince on December 18th.

They had a few things to say about Emma:

“Emma was perfect for Pauline,” reports Goldbacher. “She has a piercing, delicate aura that makes you want to gaze and gaze at her.” Emma was intrigued by the part; Pauline’s experience as a child actress who becomes a movie star had some parallels with her own.

Emma comments: “I was all set to go back to school after finishing Harry Potter but couldn’t resist Ballet Shoes. I really loved it; it felt so funny and real. It was also beautifully written.” She adds that a scene that had most resonance for her takes place the night before the première of Pauline’s first film. Pauline weeps: “Tomorrow night, my face is going to be blown up as big as a house, and everyone will find me out!”

According to Heidi, Emma need not fear. “Emma’s performance in Ballet Shoes is a revelation,” she comments. “She is maturing rapidly as a young woman and as an actress – her work is sensitive, subtle and intelligent.”

Heidi adds: “She is also incredibly hardworking. Our schedule was murderous, and she never once complained, even when she was white with exhaustion.” Insiders also noticed a refreshing lack of vanity – Emma agreed to play one scene with her hair in bright blue curlers. “She looked a complete sight but she just got on with it,” laughs Heidi.

Katie Painting to be Auctioned
Posted by Megs

A painting Katie Leung, who plays Cho Chang in Harry Potter is set to be auctioned off in Edinburgh today to raise money for the Prince’s Trust, Scotland.

You can read more and see the painting here.

The meaning behind my drawing shows the two birds encouraging and supporting each other even though life may see hard, boring or monotonous; hence the plain background. But as long as we help each other out and become motivated and hopeful, despite the negativity surrounding us, we will find happiness within ourselves – and this is conveyed through the birds’ vibrant colours.
