HAppy Birthday Magical-Menagerie!!
Posted by Megs

Today marks one year since I bought Magical – Menagerie!!!! (Even though I had the site on freewebs in May 06). So in honor of the site’s birthday I made a new layout! It is now the default layout, but remember you can always change the layouts.

It’s a bit bright but I still love it! What do you think?! Also, any other layouts you guys would like to see for the site? Just comment and I will see what I can do.

Thanks for a great year everyone! Hope you have enjoyed it as much as I have! Hopefully there will be many more site birthdays to celebrate.

OotP Closer to an Oscar
Posted by Megs

If you recall a few weeks ago I posted that OotP was on the short list for the Achievement in Make-up award at the Academy Awards. That list consisted of 15 films, now it is down to 7:

  • The Diving Bell
  • The Butterfly
  • 300
  • La Vie en Rose
  • Norbit
  • Pirates of the Caribbean: At World’s End
  • Sweeney Todd

Members of the Academy’s make-up division will view 10-minute excerpts from each of the seven shortlisted films next weekend and nominate three films for final Oscar consideration on 22 January 22.

The Academy Awards are scheduled to take place on 24 February at the Kodak Theatre in Hollywood.

Juicy New Rumour!
Posted by Megs

A new rumour has surfaced on The Daily Mail website!

Crew working on the sixth Potter film, Harry Potter And The Half-Blood Prince, have been told J.K. Rowling’s seventh novel, Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows, will be released in two halves.

The books got progressively longer the first, the Philosopher’s Stone, had 223 pages while Deathly Hallows has 776 and fans have complained chunks of later novels have been left out of films.

A film source said: “There’s so much to fit that the view is the last movie should be in two halves. There is a huge battle when Harry, played by Daniel Radcliffe, takes on Voldemort that needs to be done really well.”

At Warner Bros, who are rumoured to be thinking of Oscars and a big-name director such as Steven Spielberg for the final film, a spokesman said:

“People are discussing all possibilities.”

I will confirm or say this isn’t true if and when WB decides to tell us.
