New Bonnie Interview
Posted by Megs

StyleCritics has a new interview out with Bonnie Wright, in the interview she discusses fashion (YAHOO, one of my favorite things) and more.

From Kaye Florida, USA: I’ve read your quite close with Emma Watson and share fashion tips. Do you do girly stuff together like shopping?
Bonnie: Yeah, we talk about clothes like any girl. We love them! It’s so lovely to be able to have good friends on set, as we’re experiencing everything together.

Favorite jeans, dresses and shorts.
Bonnie: Jeans. Citizens of Humanity do a great boot cut. COS do great simple and elegant dresses. Then cut off Levis shorts.

Thanks So-Bonnie!

Extended Editions of Potter Films!
Posted by Megs

The MPAA (Motion Picture Association of America) film ratings bulletin has some awesome news; Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone: Extended Edition had received a PG rating. Warner Bros. has confirmed that all Harry Potter films will have  a special, extended edition DVD/Blu-Ray release, stating the following:

Although we’ve not announced [it yet], all Harry Potter films are being planned to get special upcoming releases!

This hasn’t exactly been confirmed, so we need to wait for that, but all I have to say is: FINALLY!!!!!!!!!!! I have been DYING for Extended Editions of the Harry Potter movies, I only hope that they are as awesome as the Lord of the Rings Extended Editions (but that may be too much to hope for) and the Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe Extended Edition!

Thanks to HPANA for this great news!

A Look at Creative Packaging in HBP
Posted by Megs

Creative Review has this look at some of the packaging for humorous products such as “Magical Mustache Miracle Stubble Grow” and “Anti Gravity Hats” and more!  As a graphic designer I am LOVING this!  Package design is one of the harder things because you actually are making something 3-Dimensional so you need to worry about more than just one side.  I should try to get a job at WB for graphic design in Deathly Hallows 😉

“I was briefed to work on the Weasleys Wizarding Wheezes originally,” Saunders continues. “I was also asked to come up with a number of names for more  products (such as Anti Gravity Hats) to adorn the shelves. Then after the product names were approved and cleared I used the names as a base to start the designs. When the boxes were ready they were printed on mass up to 400 then they were placed on boxes of all different shapes and sizes. Then after this stage the set dressers took them to fill three storeys of shop shelves in the shop on the Diagon Alley set.

Thanks for the tip TLC!

DH: 10 Most Anticipated Movies of 2010
Posted by Megs

Deathly Hallows Part I has made it onto the Internet Movie Database’s Power of Film: 10 Most Anticipated Movies of 2010 list. Film 7 comes in at second place, ranked by users of the MOVIEmeter.  It is at second place only after Tim Burton’s Alice in Wonderland (WOO!).

No photos yet (that’s Harry and Hermoine from Half-Blood Prince), but fans are already clamoring for the first half of the last part of the magical Potter saga.

Thanks Potterish

Fan Report from Deathly Hallows Set
Posted by Megs

Two fans had the chance to visit the Deathly Hallows set and they have posted a report online!  It is VERY long, so here are a few highlights!

On to the sets.  Words will not adequately describe the awesomeness of this (or any of the visit really).  The first thing we saw was the Room of Requirement, similar to what we saw in Half Blood Prince.  Stacks upon stacks of furniture, books, potions and whatnot (including several chess pieces from Philosopher’s Stone) were everywhere.  Here we got to see a bit of filming that involved the stunt doubles for Tom Felton (Draco Malfoy) and Louis Cordice (Blaise Zabini).  They were perched atop one of the stacks of furniture and rigged into a harness.  Just to the right of these guys, but not used in this scene, was Hagrid/Sirius’ flying motorbike mounted on a rig and lifted off the ground.

After the tour, we went to the canteen to have lunch with our guide and the rest of the crew.  While there, our heads were whipping left and right as we saw Rupert, James and Oliver (one of which had a bandage over his head and ear), Mark Williams (Arthur Weasley), Emma, Tom, Bonnie and Evanna (both sporting hair nets so as not to mess up their ornate hair… presumably for the wedding scene about to be filmed), Stan (Krum… who sat at the table next to us and ate lunch by himself), Warwick Davis and his son, Domhnall Gleeson (had prosthetic scars on the left side of his face), several wedding guests and actor’s doubles.  One of those was, we firmly believe, was Xenophilius’ double.  He was wearing mustard colored corduroys, a pale shirt with a yellow waist coat over the top that was covered in flowers and shoulder length blondish-white hair.  I didn’t get a close enough look to see if he was sporting the Deathly Hallows symbol or not.  Booo.

Thanks TLC.
