More On People Tree Line
Posted by Megs

Emma’s official site has been updated to let us know about the People Tree clothing line I posted about a few hours ago! (yay for being ahead of the game).  Here is some info I didn’t post before:

The collection is a spring summer line featuring 26 womens and 15 mens styles in addition to a small accessories offer.  A further high summer drop of 8 styles will land later in the season.

By targeting the 16-24 age group, Emma and People Tree’s mission is to bring more global awareness of Fair Trade, organic and sustainable fashion to a younger generation.

The collection will be on sale throughout all territories in which People Tree currently operates in (EU and Japan) and in addition the People Tree e-commerce site will open up to take orders and ship to the USA, Canada, Australia and New Zealand.

Emma Designs for People Tree!
Posted by Megs

Clothing store People Tree has a new section on the site where they say Emma has collaborated to make a collection.  I am just a bit confused because Emma said somewhere that she wouldn’t design clothes (update: Well she said not her own line, so I guess this doesn’t count).  The site has a photo of Emma and also some information.

“Launching in late February 2010, this exciting, long awaited collection brings a youthful and inspiring edge to Fair Trade fashion! “I wanted to help People Tree produce a younger range because I was excited by the idea of using fashion as a tool to alleviate poverty and knew it was something I could help make a difference with. It has been the most incredible gap year project.” Emma Watson

Acting as creative advisor, Emma has worked closely with People Tree’s in house design team and CEO Safia Minney to create a capsule lifestyle collection.  Emma has utilised her love of fashion, great personal style and young perspective to help develop a range that will bring Fair Trade and organic fashion to a new audience.  Clean and easy to wear – Emma Watson and People Tree have created a cool collection boasting a range of jersey t-shirts, dresses, woven skirts, trousers, shorts and knitwear for both men and women.

“I think young people like me are becoming increasingly aware of the humanitarian issues surrounding fast fashion and want to make good choices but there aren’t many options out there.” Emma Watson”

Liverpool Echo is reporting that actor Bill Nighy is in Liverpool filming for Harry Potter.  Bill plays Rufus Scrimgeour in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows.

The actor has been busying himself around Liverpool’s famous sites and eateries during breaks from filming the latest Harry Potter movie.

He plays Minister of Magic Rufus Scrimgeour in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – the final film in the series – which has been shooting after dark in the Birkenhead tunnel.

Insider spotted Bill at Gusto at the Albert Dock, and at the Italian Club on Bold Street where he was chatting to owner Rosaria about his upcoming big screen wizardry.
