Tom Felton News
Posted by Megs

A bunch of Tom Felton related news to for everyone!  First, thanks to FeltBeats we know that he will be a presenter during the 20th annual British Comedy Awards, which will air live on ITV1 on Saturday, December 12th, 2009.  Also, TimesOnline has posted a new interview with Tom that you can read here!

Was there a moment when you realised acting was for you?
In the first five films, Draco was fairly one-dimensional. For the Half-Blood Prince I felt there was more weight on my shoulders. I had one-on-ones with Michael Gambon and Alan Rickman to role-play the scenes and there was a day with just me and David [Yates, the director]. I remember going home and thinking, “This is a very, very cool job.”

Have there been any moments when you’ve enjoyed the fame too?
In New Jersey, on the way out, there was that Beatle-mania thing where everyone was swarming the car. I thought, “This may never happen again in your life” so I decided I’d open the window and give a little bit of a hand shake or a wave. The window was down half an inch and someone’s hand grabbed my hair, and pulled me towards the door. My girlfriend gave it a good slap and that was that.

Meet Harry Potter Stars For Charity
Posted by Megs

The Mark Davies Injured Riders Fund has introduced a new charity auction that will be of great interest to Potter fans!

The Mark Davies Injured Riders Fund has waved its magic wand and is inviting bids for the ultimate present for kids this Christmas – a visit to the Harry Potter film set. This will be the first of a planned series of money-can’t-buy experiences and items to be auctioned on-line through The Mark Davies Injured Riders Fund website over the coming months on this site.

The winning parent and lucky child will visit the set during the filming of the next Harry Potter movie in London in the first part of next year. They will be able to watch the filming, learn the secrets, and meet the stars. “It’s a rare and fantastic opportunity – and there’s only one item ‘up for grabs’,” explains Rosemary Lang for the Mark Davies Injured Riders Fund.

The auction will close at midnight on Friday 18 December. All the proceeds of the price paid by the winning bidder will go towards The Mark Davies Injured Riders Fund’s 21st Anniversary Poundcatcher campaign which aims to raise at least a pound from every rider to ensure it can continue to support all injured riders in genuine need.

You can bid on the trip by going here! Bidding is already at £ 700
