Jason Isaacs, Lucius Malfoy, was interviewed by CNN and he discussed the Harry Potter series. Thanks to SS we have a small summary of what was said, and you can watch the interview below:
Jason admitted that he tried out for the Gilderoy Lockhart role in Chamber of Secrets, as well as Lucius (though is more grateful for getting the latter role). He said the best bits are off-camera, working with great actors like Michael Gambon, Maggie Smith, Richard Harris, Gary Oldman, and Bill Nighy, to name a few.
He said that work on the Harry Potter films is relatively easy for him, and that the biggest challenge is in keeping the wig up and act.
Jason joked that he was bitter and jealous that he never got a scene in Half-Blood Prince, but overall voiced his overall joy at being a part of the series.
If Jason were Lucius Malfoy for a day, he said he’d go around killing Muggles. If Jason were to meet Lucius, he might just shave off the long blond locks.

Shirley Henderson (Moaning Myrtle) has given an interview to Scottish television network, STV, and you can view the interview here! On not being in Deathly Hallows:
Revealing some of the Harry Potter magic, she said: “When the camera is on the other characters, I was really in the swimming pool and really swimming towards Harry and doing all the voice but when the camera is turned on me, nobody is there. I am just by myself in a big green empty warehouse so I have got to imagine and remember what Harry did.
“I found it very difficult to begin with. I am up in the sky so I am strapped to a bicycle seat with my legs clamped down tight so I don’t fall off it and swivelling through the air and trying to hit marks and imagine how Harry would be reacting.”
Despite appearing a little in future books, Shirley’s character will not feature in later films, a part she says she will miss playing.
She said: “I think they just have to make that decision about who is going to be there and who’s not. And it is very much about the love interest now and a little bit more serious, less silly characters like me. I miss it, I loved doing it.”

Firstly he said the reason for the security is that if a person or even just a torch or camera flash gets in a shot it can ruin a whole take. [He] told me they were having 150 extras on set that night, which explained the many mini-buses we saw going through the forest, and the huge catering marquee at the WB base. He said no main cast were due in that night although I noticed on Matt Lewis’s twitter that he was “rockin in from work at 4am”.
They were filming chase scenes with freerunners – the Snatchers? (he called them Catchers) – running down a slope (i think there’s a picture of the slope) towards a crowd of extras, I heard lots of shouting (“Go, go, go!” that kind of thing) which sounded like they were rehearsing the running.
They were going to be filming this till the early hours of the morning, but it eventually would be edited down to a clip less than 30 seconds long. I assume this could only be something for the Battle, with the many people and the section of Hogwarts nearby.
Finally he said that some main cast would definitely be on set filming for about an hour on Monday night, and they hoped to be all done with filming by Tuesday.
The Royal premiere of Disney’s Alice in Wonderland is being held in London this evening. So far Harry Potter stars, who are also in the film, Helena Bonham Carter, Timothy Spall, Paul Whitehouse,and Alan Rickman are in attendance! The first photos of the stars can be seen over at the SS galleries.
