New Interviews with Dan, Rupert and Emma
Posted by Megs

DailyRecord has posted an interview with Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson and Rupert Grint where they discuss a myriad of things.  There is also a new banner poster of Harry as well as a new version of the trio running in the forest poster that may be seen here and here!  Some snippets from the interviews are below.

He was especially impressed by the sequence when a potion turns a bunch of schoolmates into doubles of Harry so that there are seven Harry Potters on camera. He said: “That scene is going to be pretty fantastic. Obviously people will realise that it’s a visual effect but normally when you have one person talking to another version of himself it is pretty obvious how it has been done. In this scene though it’s great – arms are overlapping and it looks fantastic. We did 96 takes for this one shot. We had to do each shot seven different times with all the Harrys standing in different places. That is the first really cool bit of magic in the first part of the film. It was so well thought out and well done.”

Daniel knows that for devoted fans it will be agony to wait for the second part of The Deathly Hallows and that they might actually have preferred to see the two parts in one epic Harry Potter marathon movie. He said: “I know that the dedicated fans would gladly sit through a six-hour Harry Potter film but not everybody possesses the same passion that they do.”

Although he is a star of one of the world’s most successful film franchises, Rupert admits he is still over-awed by the famous faces who appear in the Potter movies. He said: “They do all have quite a presence. When we started I got very excited at working with stars like Alan Rickman and Robbie Coltrane. I used to ask for autographs at the first opportunity – I think it was at the first read-through.” Rupert reckons he wasn’t in the best shape for the action in The Deathly Hallows. “There is a lot more running than I’m used to.” “I quite like the stunts but I don’t do any kind of exercise at all so it hit me quite hard. “Everyone wants this film to be the best one ever.”

The 20-year-old is studying in the US at prestigious Brown University in Rhode Island and has settled into academic life. She said: “It’s hard to choose one thing that I like most about university. I guess I just enjoy the simplicity of my life. I am sharing a tiny room with another girl and I only have space for three or four pairs of jeans and a couple of tops. My life has been compressed but it’s nice.” Her student schedule in the States is a world apart from the red carpet glamour of being a film star. She said: “I live in a bubble. I don’t read newspapers and I don’t watch TV.” Emma is also pleased that she has been accepted by the other students. She said: “I was amazed how quickly everyone on campus got over that I was from Harry Potter. I’m going to be there for four years so they’ve realised that they are going to see me most days and have just got used to me.”

Thanks SS!

Daniel & Emma talk Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows and more
Posted by Megs

Scholastic has posted a new interview where Daniel Radcliffe and Emma Watson discuss Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows and more.   Some segments may be read below and the full interview can be found here!

Q: Emma, you threw a party for the whole cast on the last day. Can tell us about the festivities? Emma: I threw a dinner. I just bought a new apartment in London. I tried to make it look really nice. I bought tons of flowers. I lit candles everywhere and everyone had place settings and I made food for everyone to come and eat and also I put together . . . I made like a book for everyone and I had silly questions like who was your first crush on the set? What was your best memory? What was your worst memory? Who was your favorite director? . . stuff like that, that’s just really fun. And everyone had a piece of paper to write it all down, but we all discussed our answers and went around and listened to people’s stories and what they remembered. It was just a really nostalgic evening basically, just all of us sharing stories. It was a really nice evening and it was warm weather, so we sat outside as well, and I bought disposable cameras for the tables, so everyone could use those, and it was just fun. It was just chill.
Daniel: It was lovely. It was fantastic. Emma cooked and she was very impressive. She was very much the hostess with the mostest. I’ve never had a dinner party in my life—the idea terrifies me, so I would have been so intimidated by that, but yeah, she got sort of the core of the young cast members and we all went round to her house and it was great. It was really, really nice, very dripping with nostalgia, all reminiscing about early days and how young and cute and innocent we all were. Yeah, it was a really, really good night and we were all very grateful. ‘Cause to be honest with you, if you talked to me or Rupert, neither of us would have had the wherewithal to put together a dinner party, so the fact that she did was really appreciated.

Q: Are there any souvenirs you took from the set?
Emma: Yeah, I took my wand, and I took my time turner, and I took a cloak, and that was about it really.
Daniel: The only thing I wanted was the glasses. I didn’t want the wand; I definitely didn’t want the broom. I actually ended up getting two pairs of the glasses. I got one—the lens-less—because often the glasses we wear on set are lens-less because of camera reflections and they’re the ones we use a lot of the time, so I wanted them from the 7th film, but I also got the lensed versions that we had from the very, very 1st film. I didn’t even know they still kept them. So I got two pairs of glasses, one from the 1st and one from the last, and I’m very happy and they’re both in prided place.

Finally, Rupert has been featured in Bravo magazine, read a full translation here and a few snippets below.  You may view the scans here and here in the gallery!

Will Hogwarts be destroyed in a fight?
Rupert:
Not only the school, a large part of the set was a field of debris (smiles).

Gross! Is it true, that the shooting took longer as planned because of you?
Rupert:
Uh, yes! I had to laugh out often and couldn’t get over it fast. That’s why there were so many interruptions.

And you couldn’t do anything against the laughing attacks?
Rupert:
The crew tried. Whenever I started to laugh, I got a yellow card and had to pay two Euros, and when I got a red one, five. In the end 230 Euro accumulated, and spent on a good cause.

The shooting is finally over. Do you miss Harry Potter already?
Rupert:
Totally! It’s the end of an era. I miss also my dressing room. There was yable tennis and a pool table… So cool!

Don’t you miss your colleagues?
Rupert:
Sure I do! Harry Potter was ten years of my life, but we all will keep in contact. I often meet the Phelps twins, who played my brothers Fred and George in the movies to play golf.

And what should your dream girl be like?
Rupert:
I don’t care about looks. I like girls who are alert and a little crazy. Just the way I am.
