Empire has released the new teaser poster for Daniel Radcliffe’s upcoming film, The Woman in Black. Additionally, The Woman in Black UK Facebook will be holding a contest today where fans can win a poster signed by Daniel Radcliffe. To win, you must live in the UK and like the Facebook page, then submit your name and email. There will be 20 winners. The Facebook page doesn’t say they will be signed, but I was told fans can win a signed copy, so maybe there is one grand prize winner who gets that, or all 20.
The film will be released on February 10th in the UK and February 3rd in the USA.
Thanks to the representatives of the film for emailing!
Daniel Radcliffe was interviewed by Access Hollywood last week and videos from the appearance are now online. You can watch the interview below as well as read some additional quotes:
“When I was 13 years old I arrived at the Japanese airport, because the privacy laws I guess are different in Japan, you can phone up an airline and say, ‘Is so and so on this flight?’ So, when I got to the airport at 13, there were 5,000 people screaming waiting at arrivals,” he recalled.
“If I walk down the street there, there is this snowballing of people,” the 22-year-old explained. “I’ve only been there twice and it’s an amazing country and they are the most unbelievably supportive fans of ‘Potter,’ because when they embrace something, they embrace it as a nation.”
This morning we have been sent an updated synopsis and the UK trailer for Daniel Radcliffe’s new film, The Woman in Black. The Woman in Black will be released by Momentum Pictures on 10th February 2012 in the UK and on February 3rd in the US. The synopsis is as follows:
Based on the classic ghost story, THE WOMAN IN BLACK tells the tale of Arthur Kipps (Daniel Radcliffe), a lawyer who is forced to leave his young son and travel to a remote village to attend to the affairs of the recently deceased owner of Eel Marsh House.
Working alone in the old mansion, Kipps begins to uncover the town’s tragic and tortured secrets and his fears escalate when he discovers that local children have been disappearing under mysterious circumstances. When those closest to him become threatened by the vengeful woman in black, Kipps must find a way to break the cycle of terror.
The UK trailer along with a transcript may be watched below.
During afternoon tea there is a shift in the air,
A bone trembling chill that tells you she’s there,
There are those who believe that the whole town is cursed,
That the house in the marsh is by far the worst,
What she wants is unknown but she always comes back,
The spectre of darkness, The Woman in Black.
