Daniel Radcliffe has launched an initiative today to find the UK and Ireland’s scariest story. Beginning this Halloween, 31 October, budding writers will be able to submit their own original short story to The Woman in Black YouTube Channel with the winning entry recorded by Dan and included on The Woman in Black DVD. The winner will also win a trip to London to attend the Premiere of The Woman in Black in early 2012.
The competition will run exclusively on YouTube. Entrants have to upload short videos of themselves reading their original ghost story through the film’s official YouTube page – www.youtube.com/thewomaninblackmovie. The competition closes on the 20th of December 2011, whereupon ten finalists will be chosen and voted for by the public. The winner will be announced on the 6th of January 2012. A full set of terms and conditions are available on the YouTube channel.
Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part II and a bunch of cast members have been long-listed for the 2012 People’s Choice Awards. You can also write in your favorite actor if they aren’t currently on the shortlist for any given category. The top 5 will be up for the award with the ceremony being held on January 11, 2012 in Los Angeles.

Thank you very very much. Hello, thank you all so much for coming out! This is amazing. Really, thank you guys so so much. I’ve had the most incredible ten years of my life on Harry Potter. I had such an amazing time; I want to thank – first of all, all of you for coming; second of all, everyone who watched the films over the ten years and who supported us, and everyone who voted around the world, not just for me, but for the film. It’s been the year of the longest goodbye in the world and it is a very very sad thing, but we just had the most amazing, amazing time. So, thank you so much for this, this is crazy.
And that man there – I don’t know if you can see him – has got the best Hagrid costume on I’ve ever seen. So, well done, sir. Thank you very very much.
