Variety reports that Kill Your Darlings, which is a film Daniel Radcliffe is attached to, will begin filming on March 12th at Columbia University in New York.  The film is a thriller that tells the story of how a murder at Columbia University in 1944 brought together the young writers who would spark the Beat Revolution.

Daniel will play poet Allen Ginsberg while Elizabeth Olsen will play Edie Parker, the wealthy art-student girlfriend of Jack Kerouac (played by Jack Huston). Finally, Dane Dehaan plays Lucien Carr, a classmate of Ginsberg’s for whom he develops feelings.

This article serves as confirmation that Daniel is officially cast in the film, as in the past it was just a rumor.

MTV has released a brand new clip from Daniel Radcliffe’s new film, The Woman in Black. The new clip, which is probably quite frightening, may be watched below [I didn’t watch, I’m not a scary movie person]:

The film opens in the USA on February 3rd and on February 10th in the UK and Ireland! The world premiere will be held in London on January 24th and Magical-Menagerie should be on hand to interview the cast.

Today we have received some exciting news for Daniel Radcliffe fans! Momentum Pictures has announced a competition to win a pair of tickets to the World Premiere of The Woman in Black on Tuesday 24th January 2012 and watch the film alongside the cast and celebrity guests. Daniel Radcliffe, Ciarán Hinds (Aberforth Dumbledore in Deathly Hallows), screenwriter Jane Goldman and director James Watkins will attend the premiere at the Royal Festival Hall.

To enter, those who come down to the Worldwide Premiere on 24th January 2012 at the Royal Festival Hall dressed as their own interpretation of the Woman in Black will gain access to a special VIP area of the red carpet* The two best dressed fans will also be selected from the crowd and win the prize!

*numbers permitting. The VIP fan pen for those in costume will operate on a first come first serve basis

The People’s Choice Awards took place last night and the Harry Potter series was the top winner with 4 awards (it won every award it was nominated for)! It won the following categories:

• Favorite Movie
• Favorite Action Movie
• Favorite Ensemble Movie Cast
• Favorite Movie Adaption

Daniel Radcliffe was nominated for Best Actor but lost out to Johnny Depp.  Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson and Tom Felton were up for Favorite Movie Star Under 25 but that was taken by Chloe Moretz.
