Daniel Radcliffe Talks MTV Nominations, New Roles and More
Posted by Megs

In a new interview with Yahoo UK Daniel Radcliffe talks about his nomination sfor the MTV Movie Awards as well as his new roles in Kill Your Darlings and The Young Doctor’s Notebook.

“I don’t pay a huge amount of attention to the awards thing. In America people are much more open about their desire to win awards. I don’t have that. I never know quite what to make of it.” And asked about the chances of Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows Part 2 winning Best Movie when coming up against the likes of Twilight: Breaking Dawn Part 1 and The Hunger Games, he simply said: “The wonderful thing about Harry Potter is that on the whole fans of this franchise are encouraged to explore and be open to lots of things. It’s not about you can only like one thing. Just stop fighting. Any inter-franchise war is about people trying to get their identity through a franchise. it shouldn’t be about being insular with what you love.”

He also talked to The Advocate about The Woman in Black, Kill Your Darlings, his involvement with The Trevor Project and more!

You portray Allen Ginsberg in your next film, Kill Your Darlings.
I feel I am incredibly lucky to be playing him. Despite the damage from his upbringing and his mother and what he went through, he really emerged into the most fully formed open, compassionate human being out of all of the Beats. He’s certainly the one you’d be most comfortable spending time around, I think. When you watch footage of him and William Burroughs together and see how much they care about each other and how close they were and the love between all those guys and the incredible sadness that brought them all together that they were all carrying in some degree. It’s great.

Daniel Radcliffe Confirmed for “A Young Doctor’s Notebook”
Posted by Megs

At the beginning of the month we posted a rumor stating Daniel Radcliffe might star alongside Jon Hamm in a BBC Miniseries about the life of a Doctor. Today Variety confirms those reports are true! The show will be distributed internationally by BBC Worldwide.  According to the article:

Jon Hamm and Daniel Radcliffe have been confirmed as the stars of a new U.K. comedy drama miniseries based on a Russian novel in which they both play the same character. The pair feature in “A Young Doctor’s Notebook,” a four-part skein inspired by a collection of short stories by Russian writer and playwright Mikhail Bulgakov set during the Russian Revolution. Hamm takes the role of the older doctor, who has a series of bleakly comic exchanges with his younger self, portrayed by Radcliffe.

Of the role, Daniel said, “I have been an obsessive Bulgakov reader for a couple of years now so when the opportunity to become involved in this project came up, I could barely contain my excitement. The book is funny, grotesque and heartfelt in equal measure and I look forward to working with a great group of people to help bring it to life.”

Rumor: Daniel Radcliffe to Star in Doctor Drama?
Posted by Megs

The Sun is reporting that Daniel Radcliffe and Jon Hamm will be starring as the same character in a Russian Doctor Drama on Sky Art. It will be 4 parts in which Daniel and Jon will be playing the same doctor after the First World War.

Daniel will be his younger self and Jon will obviously play the older version, along with narrating the show. According to the article, “the series will incorporate some dark humour as the doctor attempts to overcome self-doubts about his competence.”

The Sun is known for not being very reliable so this could just be one big lie, more will be posted as things are confirmed (or debunked).
