A teaser trailer for Apex, a new short film starring Evanna Lynch, has appeared online. The film is the story of how 5 friends survive in LA as a human evolution-changing virus spreads across the states. According to Hypable, “while Apex is currently a feature film, the team have hopes to turn the project into a TV series with the film serving as a pilot.”

Harry Potter companion books, Quidditch through the Ages and Fantastic Beasts & Where to Find Them, are now available as e-books in the Pottermore Shop. J.K. Rowling wrote these books back in 2001 to help raise money for Comic Relief, the e-books will still benefit the charity. According to the Pottermore Insider:

Both texts are currently available as part of your eBook collection in English (US and UK editions), and all proceeds from the purchases of these eBooks from the Pottermore Shop will be donated to Comic Relief.
Today we have some film updates for Emma Watson, Daniel Radcliffe and Tom Felton. Firstly, five new promotional photos of Emma Watson in The Perks of Being a Wallflower have been released and can be seen in the IHeartWatson Gallery. They have also reported that the release date has been pushed back a week from September 14th to September 21st of this year.
Additionally, thanks to DanRadcliffe.co.uk, some new photos of Daniel Radcliffe on set for his upcoming film The F Word, have appeared online. The photos may be seen via this link. In the film Dan plays a man who is trying to become just friends with a girl he likes. Filming is said to take place over 6 weeks in Toronto and Dublin, there is no release date yet.
Finally, a slew of new photos from Tom Felton’s newest film The Apparition, have been released on the movie’s Facebook page. The Apparation hits theatres on August 24th.
Film.com have released a new clip from the Harry Potter Wizard’s Collection in which we see some of the stunt doubles from the Harry Potter films. The clip is mainly about Harry’s double, David Holmes, but we also see the stunt coordinator, Greg Powell.
Many fans will remember that David Holmes was injured during the filming of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows in 2009. Greg, was similarly injured in 2010, though he only broke his shoulder, whereas Holmes was paralyzed. These are the unsung heroes of Harry Potter and we will get to meet them on the DVD.
WB has released another clip from the upcoming Harry Potter Wizard’s Collection. This clip shows Daniel Radcliffe and Tom Felton shooting some Quidditch scenes for Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets.
A new trailer for Mike Newell’s latest film, Great Expectations, has been released. Mike was the director of Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. But Mike isn’t the only Potter alum to be involved in the film. It stars Helena Bonham Carter as Miss Havisham, Ralph Fiennes as Magwitch, Robbie Coltrane as Mr. Jaggers and Jessie Cave as Biddy.
For those of you that never had to read Charles Dickens’ Great Expectations in school, the book tells the story of Pip, an English orphan who rises to wealth, deserts his true friends, and becomes humbled by his own arrogance [x].
