Entertainment Weekly has a list of the 20 All-Time Coolest Heroes in Pop Culture and Harry Potter has made the list at number 4! He was beaten by Superman, Indiana Jones (WOOOO!) and James Bond. Also on the list are some of my favorites: Han Solo, Nancy Drew, Spiderman and Batman.
4. HARRY POTTERWHY HIM: Orphaned, cast out, and in the throes of adolescent hormonal revolt, J.K. Rowling’s boy wizard (played by Daniel Radcliffe on screen) is the embodiment of the corny bumper sticker: Why be normal?
MOST HEROIC MOVE: Obliterating Voldemort by deploying his secret weapons: love, loyalty, and the good ol’ Expelliarmus.
BIGGEST WEAKNESS: Misses his mommy and daddy.

Scholastic, the US publishers of the Harry Potter novels, will be releasing a new box set of the series on July 7th 2009. You can preorder the set for $58.67 at Barnes and Noble. The box set will include all seven books and the box will have the Deathly Hallows deluxe cover art on it, the books also have a different spine (which might make this webmiss want to buy this set even though she has at least 3 copies of each book ).
Don’t forget that the paperback version of Deathly Hallows will also be released on July 7th this year.

Melissa Anelli has posted another part of her interview with JK Rowling where Rowling admits being behind the company that was releasing fake book titles.
MA: It was you guys? JKR: It was just – we had to find a way to [keep some confusion out there] and it worked. I don’t even think there was just one company doing it, I think we had several fronts putting up titles. [One of them was called “Stone Connect.” It seems were others as well.] MA: Just to shroud it, confuse the issue? JKR: Yeah. As soon we knew it was going to go up on the site, we just needed to keep a little bit of confusion going for those last few hours before we got it out there.
