Wright's Nostalgia Over Harry Potter Films
Posted by LadyLongbottom

Harry Potter star Bonnie Wright is looking forward to watching all of the boy wizard movies after the final film is released – so she can relive her childhood.

The 18 year old has starred in the magical franchise since she was nine years old and finishes work on the final instalment, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, next year.

And she is excited about being able to watch all eight of the Potter movies in one go – so she can see her life on screen.

Wright tells Moviehole, “They sometimes pop up on TV, and you see all of us when we’re so young, and all the guys, their voices are so high pitched and girly. So, it’s weird.

“I think in, maybe, ten years, we’ll all be able to look back at these movies and watch our childhood, almost. Our childhood’s been seen on screen, the way we’ve grown up.”

Potter's Wright To Study Film At University
Posted by LadyLongbottom

Harry Potter star Bonnie Wright is moving behind the camera – she’s set to take up a place studying film at university.

The 18 year old has juggled her school work with life on set while starring in the wizard franchise for the last nine years – and now she’s continuing her education by enrolling in a film course.

She says, “In September, I’m going to film school, so that’s what I decided to do for my university choice. The movies couldn’t have directed my life more.

“I think as well from working within Harry Potter… I think the work ethic and the passion that goes behind the filming of it have really made me have a work ethic that I want to continue, and I’ve born a sort of passion toward film.”

The teenager has been receiving advice from the films’ director David Yates – and has even lined up some work behind the scenes as she completes filming on the final instalment, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows.

Wright adds, “I’ve been talking (with Yates) and obviously he’s really excited that that’s what I’m going to do, to go to film school.

“I’m starting in a few weeks on the seventh film and I’m going to do some work – I’ve already got some work experience with the art department and costume department – but I’m going to do some work with the editors and the cinematographer and the cameramen. So it’s going to be amazing to get first-hand work experience with those people. I’m really looking forward to that.”

Matt Confirms: Bonnie Doesn't Have Twitter
Posted by Megs

Today, Matthew Lewis has confirmed on his Twitter that Bonnie Wright does not have a Twitter, he also states that the only Potter stars he knows of with Twitter are James, Oliver and Tom.  So remember if you see ANY Dan, Emma and Rupert twitters it is NOT THEM!  The same goes for Facebook, even if they have accounts they will not add fans!

  • The only Twitters that I know are real are James and Ollie Phelps and Tom Felton. Others may be but I don’t know! Bonnie’s definitely aren’t
  • I spoke to Bonnie yesterday. She doesn’t have a Twitter. I’ll be sure to let you know if she becomes a convert!
  • I’m sure other people at the studio have them but I can only tell you about the ones that I know for a fact are real.

Thanks Lewis Lovers!

New Bonnie Wright Interview
Posted by Megs

FilmSchoolRejects has a new interview with Harry Potter actress Bonnie Wright!

You’ve said in other interviews that the process opened your eyes to filmmaking. Is that still something you want to pursue?
Yeah. In September I’m going to film school, so that’s what I decided to do for my University choice, so [the movies] couldn’t have directed my life more. I think as well from working within Harry Potter, it’s such a large scale of production but also because we’ve all been there together for so long, and all the crew – we’ve had the pleasure to work with so many people on all the movies. I think the work ethic and the passion that goes behind the filming of it have really made me have a work ethic that I want to continue, and I’ve born a sort of passion toward film.

I think that’s why people always ask why we’re so calm or why we still love it so much. I think it’s just the network we have that’s been surrounding us from the producers to the runners on set to the cameramen. It’s a real family that we’ve had on set.

Have you talked to David Yates about wanting to direct?
I’ve been talking, obviously he’s really excited that that’s what I’m going to do, to go to film school. When I start, I’m starting in a few weeks on the 7th film, and I’m going to do some work – I’ve already got some work experience with the art department and costume department – but I’m going to do some work with the editors and the cinematographer and the cameramen. So it’s going to be amazing to get first-hand work experience with those people. I’m really looking forward to that.
