HBP Premiere info and more!
Posted by Megs

Belgium’s Jommeke newspaper visited the Half-Blood Prince set early last year, where they spoke to Jim Broadbent (Slughorn) and Robbie Coltrane (Hagrid), and watched a scene being filmed for the sixth movie.   You can see scans here.

• The Belgium premiere for Half-Blood Prince will take place on Saturday, July 11, which Bonnie Wright and Evanna Lynch will be attending.

• Although not confirmed yet, it appears that Dan Radcliffe, Rupert Grint and Emma Watson will only attend the UK premiere for the sixth movie (on July 7th), and no other because of their busy Deathly Hallows film schedule. [THIS IS FALSE, all three will be at the NYC premiere, thanks Jo]

• Jim Broadbent talks about how pleased his grandchildren are that he has taken a role in the Harry Potter films, playing Slughorn. He discusses his character, stating that he is not really bad, just a weak person. Slughorn has a wall of photos with himself and celebrated students; the Potions professor also finds it a treat to teach the famous Harry Potter.

• Robbie Coltrane jokes about his three young co-stars, Dan, Rupert and Emma, where he proudly states that fame and fortune has not go to their head, and that they don’t believe they are any better than anyone else on set.

• The tour guide, Amy, explains how Quidditch in the sixth film will be bigger than it previously has been; she also shows the reporters around Dumbledore’s office and tells them that the famed Astronomy Tower scene took place a week before their arrival.

• The reporters describe the scene they are privileged to watch, which includes Dan, Rupert and Emma, heavily layered in clothing as they walk down a snowy path to Hagrid. Emma and Dan point out the mistakes they make during their takes, of which there are nine before the scene is complete. Between takes, however, Dan and Rupert are noted to throw off their coats as the set is hot, and are eager to go back to Rupert’s dressing room and play a game of ping pong. A comment from Dan is published at the end, where he says that filming can get tiring, and that it will be strange to no longer play Harry after Deathly Hallows has completed.

Emma's Official Site Updated
Posted by Megs

Emma Watson’s official site was updated yesterday to tell us she would be the new face of Burberry which we heard today.

Today we are very pleased to announce that Emma is the new face of fashion giant Burberry, and currently features in their Autumn/Winter 2009 campaign.
Christpher Bailey (the creative director of Burberry) had this to say about Emma:
Having known Emma both personally and professionally for quite some time, I felt very strongly that she would be perfect strong enough to hold the campaign as the only girl, and I loved the idea of her being surrounded by these young, cool British guys.

More extracts from the official press release from Christopher Bailey reads:
I wanted the images to represent both the rich history and the modernity of the Burberry brand whilst at the same time reflecting a quiet beauty, timelessness and strength that is particularly significant today.
Having known and admired the lovely Emma Watson for quite some time, she was the obvious choice for this campaign.
Emma has a classic beauty, a great character and a modern edge. Her charm, intellect and brilliant sense of fun made the whole shoot feel like a picnic on the Thames.

12 minutes of 3-D footage in IMAX HBP

The Hollywood Reporter spoke to an analyst who talked about the Half-Blood Prince IMAX delay.

Still, “Potter” contains 12 minutes of 3-D footage that moviegoers can experience only through Imax, so that could cushion the blow, Merriman Curhan Ford analyst Eric Wold said.

Bonnie, Tom, James and Oliver Interviews
Posted by Megs

Bonnie Wright and James and Oliver Phelps were interviewed by Actustar and that interview can be seen below. They mention that they will begin filming Deathly Hallows in July.

Tom, Bonnie and the Phelps twins were interviewed by Metro France.

“I only saw some scenes from the film in which I appear,” says Tom Felton, “and it looks really exciting, we all wait to see it all. Draco’s role is important in it. If Harry Potter symbolizes good, Draco symbolizes evil, with the opportunity to prove it … It’s a pretty tough journey for him. The films are evolving, for sure. They become more frightening, funniest, more romantic … most appropriate to the characters! It is not just about black magic in this film, there are many jokes that fans will appreciate. ”

Bonnie Wright agrees: she plays Ginny, the youngest of the Weasley and future girlfriend of Harry. “There is a good balance in this film, I think, between the darker moments and romance. Ginny has more confidence in her, she plays Quidditch and is his first love, it was very pleasant to play.” And the famous scene of the kiss? She smiles and blushes: “I love how this scene was written, there are some very tense moments, where nothing happens, and where everybody expects it to happen, and when it happens … (Laughter.) Nothing to do with the scene where Harry kisses Cho Chang: mine is longer, it is a very special moment, the beginning of a relationship doomed to endure. ”

While traveling as the Weasley twins: “They left Hogwarts,” says Oliver Phelps, “they have their own store of jokes and hoaxes, and they are successful! We like to be the comedy of this series, our fans love us for that. ”  James has also played the assistant director: “During filming, I worked behind the camera, with the team, between two scenes. Sometimes I worked from 5 am to 9 pm … Being assistant made me appreciate the different trades of the film. Making one myself? I’m too lazy for that (Laughter.)”

Thanks BWO
