MSNBC has a new interview out with none other than JK Rowling!

“Harry’s story comes to a definite end in book seven,” is all she will say a few days before publication, serving up tea and home-baked sponge cake in her comfortable Edinburgh house. Writing the final words of the saga felt “like a bereavement.”

Rowling predicts that some of Harry’s fans will dislike “Deathly Hallows.” But she is proud of it. “The final book is what it was always supposed to be, and so I feel very at peace with that fact,” she says.

“I’ll do exactly what I did with Harry — I’ll write what I really want to write, and if it’s something similar, that’s OK, and if it’s something very different, that’s OK.

As I posted this morning, the New York Times posted an early review of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. Bloomsbury has now released an official press release. Click read more to see the press release. JKR says in the release:

‘I am staggered that American newspapers have decided to publish purported spoilers in the form of reviews in complete disregard of the wishes of literally millions of readers, particularly children, who wanted to reach Harry’s final destination by themselves, in their own time. I am incredibly grateful to all those newspapers, booksellers and others who have chosen not to attempt to spoil Harry’s last adventure for fans.’

Emma Watson is going to voice Princess Pea in the new movie The Tale of Despereaux.  Robbie Coltrane is also going to be voicing a character. It is coming out later next year, I will post more details as they come. Here is the movie description:

The tale of three unlikely heroes – a misfit mouse who prefers reading books to eating them, an unhappy rat who schemes to leave the darkness of the dungeon, and a bumbling servant girl with cauliflower ears – whose fates are intertwined with that of the castle’s princess.

The New York Times has already released a review of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, the author said the newspaper bought the book from a store in NY. Bloomsbury made this statement:

As the originating publisher, we’re really disappointed with what happened in the US. We’re relying on the support of retailers and the media in the rest of the world to allow readers to find out for themselves. We are asking people to wait.
