World News Australia has a new article out where they have quotes from JKR about other people continuing the series and more.
“Particularly gruelling was the day on which I wrote the 35th chapter, the one in which Harry prepares for his death. All the emotions that had stored up inside me after years of writing about Harry suddenly poured out,” she said.

A rare first edition of Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone has sold for £19,700 at auction. (for us Americans that is $40,355.88). For those of you that do not know, the first book was only printed 500 times for the first printing.
The auction also featured an uncorrected publisher’s proof copy of the book, produced for internal use and promotion, and with “JA Rowling” printed in error on the title page. It went for £2,250.
A paperback and hardback edition of the second book in the series, Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, both signed by the author, one with the inscription “To Ella – I know your Mum!!! And she beat me in the quiz but we won’t mention that – love from Jo (aka JK Rowling)”, sold for £1,250.

There is a new interview out with David Thewlis because he is in Toronto for the International Festival of Authors promoting his new book The Late Hector Kipling.
Thewlis concedes that [the Dumbledore situation] threw him for a loop, but not for the reasons you might think. “The funny thing when Alfonso Cuaron directed “The Prisoner of Azkaban, the first film that I appear in, he had the idea that Lupin was gay and he described my character like a ‘gay junkie’ .And of course Lupin turns out not to be gay because he marries Tonks and has children.”
Thewlis is currently filming the next Harry Potter flick. But while that movie’s debut is a while away, you can see him a lot sooner than that. He’ll be talking about his new tome at the Festival at Harbourfront Centre Wednesday and Thursday nights.
