Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix has a nomination in the Best Kiss category (for Daniel Radcliffe and Katie Leung’s kiss in the film), in the 2008 MTV Movie Awards, which will be airing on MTV Sunday, June 1, 2008.
Dan Radcliffe and Emma Watson have won Bravo Otto awards for best film actor and best film actress! They beat actors Kiera Knightly and Johnny Depp. Congrats Dan and Emma!!!!!
The New Yorker has a new article out where they discuss the JK Rowling vs. RDR books and Steve Vander Ark case.
“It’s the same thing as if a family member were to go and break the law, and do something horrible,” John Noe, the site’s[TLC] creative director, said. “There is no room for sympathy.”
I have to totally agree with John on this one. I really think that Steve made a big mistake with his decision. I fully support JK Rowling and I hope the judge decides in her favor. So please show your support for her, this is a very hard time for her.
The ruling for the case should come sometime after May 9th, which is this Friday.
At the Collectormania 13 event that was held this weekend Emma, from SnitchSeeker, was lucky enough to chat with Natalia Tena! Nat plays Tonks in the Harry Potter films!
The only scene Natalia has filmed for the movie, isn’t actually in the book at all. She was only on set for the part where Death Eaters attack the Burrow at Christmas (where Harry & the Weasleys are present). She said that none of the angst of her character is there – indeed, she and Lupin are just suddenly a couple when they meet there.
In regards to Deathly Hallows, she said she was disappointed to see that they got married, due to her own personal preference towards the institution. So she doesn’t want a big wedding scene (which some fans think may happen, given the exclusion of Bill Weasley & Fleur Delacour from Half-Blood Prince). But she did say that she would love to have to ride a broom with a pregnant belly.
