The Telegraph is reporting that Daniel and Emma will be in the Guinness Book of World Records.
Daniel Radcliffe and Emma Watson have entered the Guinness World Records book as the highest grossing lead actors of the decade.
Despite their tender years – Watson is 19, while Radcliffe celebrated his 20th birthday in July – the duo have outstripped the fortunes of their Hollywood rivals thanks to the success of the Harry Potter films.
The figures from the new edition of Guinness World Records is based on box office takings. The first six Harry Potter films have grossed $5.4 billion, and there are two more to come.
Radcliffe’s films earn an average of $558 million, while Watson is ahead of $753.7 million as last year she also starred in The Tale of Despereaux, a children’s animation in which she voiced a princess.
All I have to say is WHERE IS RUPERT! Why do they always forget about him…shouldn’t he be included with them? Maybe its because he isn’t a lead…UGH!
Lead star Radcliffe was named “highest grossing actor of the decade” as his films earned an average of just under £400m at the box office, while Watson, who plays Hermione, took the record for “highest average box-office gross for an actress”.
Guinness World Records 2010 goes on sale on Thursday.
Home Media Magazine is reporting that WB is deliberately waiting to release the exact date that Half-Blood Prince is coming out. Most of the rumors are saying early December or late November.
With the all-important fourth-quarter rapidly approaching, Warner Home Video has decided to release its tentpole titles later than usual, anticipating consumers will delay holiday purchases until the last minute, said a Time Warner senior executive.
“We are purposely putting our titles into the retail channel later in the fourth quarter to try and take advantage of what we believe will be the optimal foot traffic trends in retail,” Martin said.
The Movie-Fanatic has updated their list of the 50 Hottest Young Actors, the full update will be online next month but now there is a preview of who may become part of the top 10! Rupert is mentioned in the update:
Rupert Grint: (current rank: #31) Among Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson and Grint, I would have to say, Grint appears to me to be the most serious in becoming a truly talented actor. Aside from Harry Potter, Grint played leading roles in two features – Cherrybomb and Wild Target. Grint is apparently attempting to come up with interesting roles, which started in the coming-of-age movie, Driving Lessons where he was terrific playing opposite Julie Walters and Laura Linney.
Thanks ICM! (YAY for Ben Barnes at 20 and Anton Yelchin [one of my fav star trek characters] at 17!)
Freddie Stroma (Cormac McLaggen) attended London’s premiere of Creation which was held tonight. You can see photos of him at the event, here!
Also, FeltBeats is reporting that Freddie was up for a role in Tom’s new film Grace and Danger. According to them, “Hayward related that Stroma is only a possibility if he reads the script and/or if a previously cast actor has to drop out due to scheduling difficulities.”
