J.K.R: H.C. Andersen Literature Prize
Posted by Megs

The Copenhagen Post is reporting that J.K. Rowling will be the recipient of the first H.C. Andersen Literature Prize, named after Hans Christian Anderson (famous Dutch author).  The prize is given to someone whose achievements are comparable to those of Hans Christian Andersen.  The article says the award will be presented next year.

Danish-Brazilian businessman Jens Olesen is a member of the H.C. Andersen Advisory Board, which is behind the award, and said that he was delighted Rowling would be able to accept the literature prize in person.

‘Next year might seem like a long way off, but we have to prepare well if we really want to get one of the biggest writers of our time to the city,’ said Olesen.

JKR “Working on something”
Posted by Megs

The Telegraph is reporting that author JK Rowling has said she is working on something that is not Potter related.

JK Rowling bid for three tickets to see Stella McCartney’s Paris show at a Gala Auction in London, in June, to raise funds for the Raisa Gorbachev Foundation, and bought along two friends. “I’m working on something, but it’s not Harry Potter,” she said. “I need a Harry break.” A Stella McCartney fan, she said she loved the designer’s clothes because “they’re so wearable.”

DH part II script read-through today
Posted by Megs

Helen McCrory has done a new interview with Rotten Tomatoes and in it she states that Deathly Hallows Part 2 is being read through today as well as talking about the films.

McCrory told us she was due for a table read of the script for the second part of the film today. “You don’t know what to expect until you get there,” she said. “Something written down on paper could be completely different on the screen. On Monday we’re just going to sit down with various people around a table.”

For McCrory, this change in tone is evident on set, where many of the cast and crew are getting ready to say goodbye to decade-long era. “We finish in April and it does feel different on set actually,” she explained. “Some people have been doing it for 10, 11 years. It’s part of their lives. So although I’ve just joined them at the end, a lot of people have a huge emotional commitment to it. There are children that have grown up with the people on the set, like the directors and the costume designers backstage. It’s a very big occasion for those people.”

Rupert Talks Cherrybomb Distribution!
Posted by Megs

In several new articles it has been revealed that Cherrybomb will be distributed in the UK, probably because of the great campaign run by fans to get the film distributed!  The film’s sales agent, The Little Film Company, is also in negotiation with an American distributor.  Rupert has been quoted as saying:

“I am backing this campaign wholeheartedly,” he said. “I’m delighted by the huge support the film has already received on the official Facebook page and other sites on the web and am so grateful to my fans in particular, who have travelled the world to support the film at festivals and preview screenings.”

Thanks for the tip and starting the campain ICM!
