About a month ago I received a Draco stencil from Ultimate Pumpkin Stencil’s and was finally able to carve my pumpkin last night! After TWO very long hours I finished carving my Draco, it was less like carving and more like peeling and digging (but you can cut if you want) and I was very happy with the results! I will warn you all now: this is not for those who cannot take their time, have arthritis or have no patience. If you can take your time and pay attention to details you will absolutely love these stencils as they make the process of creating amazing pumpkins a lot simpler.
The process starts out with cutting around your stencil and taping it to your pumpkin, after that you take a push pin and carefully make points around all the black areas of the stencil. After you finish that it’s time to take off the stencil and start carving or peeling depending on the look you want. I opted for peeling my pumpkin so the light would shine through the skin rather than having holes. This was the longest part of the process because you have to take your time or you will break the smaller areas and it will look like a big blob. Overall I liked the product, the only problem is that the stencil can only be used once since you print it yourself. It would be nice if it was made of vinyl so you could use it over and over without wasting paper. But otherwise, a great product and nicely priced at only $3.95.

The twelfth Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows TV Spot aired last night and has now been released online, but in poor quality. I will update this post as soon as we have a better quality version.
Fandango has emailed to let us know about three promotions you can take use of if you purchase your Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows tickets from them. You can use any of the following links to take advantage of offers! (I personally would do the 1st 😉 )
The LA Times has updated with their latest edition of Hero Complex and it has some quotes from Daniel Radcliffe, David Heyman, Tom Felton and Steve Kloves.
Screenwriter Steve Kloves said that there technically is one glimpse of Hogwarts in the film but he’d rather not elaborate. “This moment would fall in the category of flashback,” said the writer who finishes the franchise having written scripts for seven of the eight films. “Revealing it may ruin a rather lovely — albeit small — moment of the movie.”
Radcliffe said treading past the stony floors of the well-used Hogwarts movie set in Watford, England, energized the cast during the production of the seventh and eighth films, which were made together in a shoot that began in February 2009 and did not wrap until mid-June of this year. “I think getting out was a marvelous thing for the story and for the look of the film,” he said. “This movie just looks different than the other ones. We’ve spent so much time at Hogwarts that it makes it fresh to go somewhere new on screen.”
WB has sent over download links for the behind the scenes feature for the Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows soundtrack. (I’ll make the links prettier when I get home from work)
