Second Ollivander’s Shop Put up at Wizarding World of Harry Potter
Posted by Megs

Inside the Magic is reporting that Universal has made a second Ollivander’s Wand Shop at The Wizarding World of Harry Potter because so many people wait in line to get a wand.  Apparently, the new store doesn’t have the 5 minute long wand choosing ceremony but if you don’t care about that it may be a quicker way to get your wand. Some photos of the new store are below. According to the site:

The new store can be accessed via Ollivander’s Wand Shop, not by exiting through the right-hand door into the Owl Post, but rather through a left-hand door on the opposite side of the room, formerly an employee-only area that served as a stock room. The store not only features the same assortment of magic wands but also other Wizarding World-exclusive merchandise, also available in other area stores.

While this expansion of the Wizarding World is only minor, it does show that Universal sees the larger-than-average crowds filled with excited guests who are eager to visit the new attractions and stores. Rumors suggest that Universal is currently in talks with Harry Potter author/creator J.K. Rowling to expand the Wizarding World of Harry Potter further, but those remain only rumors for now.

Emma Watson First Person to be on a Moving Magazine Cover for iPad
Posted by Megs

Emma Watson is the first person to be on a moving magazine cover for the iPad! Marie Claire has debuted an interactive issue for Apple’s iPad that features a moving cover, as well as video clips and outtakes from Emma’s shoot exclusive to the iPad. You can see the cover in action here or below if you don’t have an iPad!

“[With the living cover] we had to map it out and when you look at it, it’s like one of those really complicated scientific computer drawings,” said Joanna Coles, editor in chief of Marie Claire, New York. “It’s the first time that it’s been done and I’m so excited. I showed it to a couple of men in the office and they just wanted it sitting on their desk, running on a loop, because it’s just so much fun – it looks like Emma’s kind of flirting, but in a nice way,” she said. “We really wanted to put the magazine in 3-D. The whole strategy was how do you create something that works with the strong abilities of the iPad design and I think what we wanted to figure out was not how to recreate the magazine on the iPad because I don’t think that’s the most exciting way of using the technology, it’s how can I take themes of the magazine and do something on the iPad.”

Help Change The Lives Of Children In Zimbabwe with FeltBeats!
Posted by Megs

FeltBeats has just posted about a holiday fundraiser they will be having to help children in Zimbabwe, a charity that Tom is involved with.  Over the next six months they will be collecting donations for Zimbabwe’s Forgotten Children.

Each month, we will be collecting donations at http://www.justgiving.com/dracosgift . Just Giving is a non-profit agency that collects donations and submits them directly to the charity every 25 days. On the 5th of each month, Feltbeats.com will draw names from the doners the previous month to win special Feltbeats.com related goodies, culminating with the final draw on Draco Malfoy’s 31st Birthday! In July, Feltbeats.com members will be in London  presenting a celebratory check to the Zimbabwechildren.org’s offices listing the total raised for this life changing charity. When thinking of donating this holiday season, and beyond,  please keep the children of Zimbabwe in your hearts.

The money you donate will seriously help these young children, here is some information from the filmmakers of a documentary entitled Zimbabwe’s Forgotten Children:

Since making the film Zimbabwe’s Forgotten Children – we have been able to help the children featured. But they are among many thousands of children in desperate need of an EDUCATION. For £2.50 per month or £30.00 per year you can pay for a child’s school fees for an entire year in Zimbabwe

The following is a video of Tom talking about the cause.

So please be as generous as you can for this great cause!  I will be making my donation soon.
