This morning, WB have sent over a press release stating that some video on demand services in the UK will have a sneak peek of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2, available starting April 15th. Read the full press release here and the main highlights below.
“Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows ™ – Part 1” will be available to digitally download from 11th April and via Video On Demand from 15th April. Sky Box Office, FilmFlex in Virgin Media’s Movies on Demand and BT Vision services will include an exclusive Sneak Peek of an opening scene from the highly anticipated upcoming film “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows ™– Part 2”
Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows ™ – Part 1 will also be available on Blu-ray Triple Play, featuring a hi-definition, a standard definition, and a digital copy of the film and on 2 Disc Special Edition DVD in widescreen format. “Harry Potter Years 1-7 Part 1” boxset will also be available on Blu-ray and DVD.
The Hollywood Reporter has revealed that the Harry Potter series will be receiving a Hall of Fame Award at this year’s CinemaCon for its “rare and exceptional achievements in the motion picture theater industry.” The award will be presented to David Heyman at the CinemaCon Big Screen Achievement Awards on March 31st.
“Since the first film hit theatres in 2001, Harry Potter has created a global phenomenon unlike anything ever seen before.” said Neuhauser in a statement. “Ten years and seven blockbuster films later, (it’s) the most successful film franchise of all time—having entertained and thrilled audiences of all generations around the world.”
Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban has been named the Film of the Decade at the First Light Film Awards, the award is voted on by children aged 5 to 15! Clemence Poesy presented the award to producer David Heyman and said, “I remember my last day of shooting which was the last day for a lot of people, and some of them had been there for more than 10 years, so it really became very emotional.”
David Heyman had this to say about winning the award, “It’s especially exciting and moving to be voted Film of the Decade by children aged five to 15. We made the film for children of all ages from from to 105 really, but clearly a core part of our audience is young people and to be honoured is a privilege..”

First of all sorry for the downtime yesterday, the site experienced a surge of traffic and my host tried to move the site somewhere else but it didn’t work. Moving on, ABC Family have released more details on the Deathly Hallows sneak peeks that will be airing during their Harry Potter weekend.
Faithful Potter fans will also be given a chance to go behind-the scenes with never-before-seen interview footage from the cast and filmmakers which give insights on key scenes from “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 1 & 2,” as well as revisiting important moments from the previous films to prepare for the final battle that takes place in “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 2.” The never-before-seen footage that will be airing throughout the weekend includes a look back at Harry and Ginny’s relationship, director David Yates’ take on Harry and Hermione’s relationship, the origins of The Marauder’s Map and a look into the very last shot of principal photography of the film franchise with producer David Baron. ABC Family will also be airing exclusive sneak peeks at some of “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 2,” most exciting moments, including Harry & Draco’s fight in the Room of Requirement, the hair-raising dragon sequences and the final courtyard battle between good and evil.
