In a new interview with MTV, Tom Felton talks about Draco Malfoy and his defining moment in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows.
MTV News: This is the final one — the final impression of Draco Malfoy. In your mind, what’s going to be his defining moment in “Part 2”?
Felton: Well, he seems so conflicted and he doesn’t know what to do. When it comes to the final battle, he’s still a bit confused about which way he should go. It’s only in the last stages of the battle that he’s really called upon from the dark side when he’s standing on the good side, and we see a tough moment for him when he doesn’t know where his loyalties lie. That’s definitely going to be the defining moment for Draco. Hopefully, I nailed it. It’s nice when I get sprung upon by the mega “Harry Potter” fans and they say, “We understand Draco’s pain.” It’s like, “Thank you! That’s a compliment! That’s a sign I must have done good.”
MTV News: Have you seen bits and pieces?
Felton: I saw bits and pieces when I did the ADR voice-looping. It looked amazing. I was forgetting to do my lines because I was just watching it going, “Wow, this is incredible!” And that was only half-finished with the special effects.
In a new interview with dot429 Daniel Radcliffe discusses celebrity involvement in charities, gay marriages and more. A snippet from the interview may be read below.
[…] his work with the Trevor Project is what he is most proud of. In fact, he is being honored by the organization this summer, as a recipient of the “Hero Award.” While he is thrilled to be recognized for his work with the organization, he is quick to point out that the real heroes are working at the call centers, providing voluntary aid and counseling. What impresses me most about Daniel is his devotion to the particular cause. He is certainly not one to support a cause simply because it is trendy, as is typical in Hollywood, and his self-awareness is refreshing. “You can be perceived as jumping on a bandwagon when it comes to some issues, not that that’s a reason to put off getting involved. If there’s something that someone in the public eye is passionate about, they should do it to highlight awareness. But you mustn’t ever put yourself on any moral high ground which is what some people are in danger of doing,”
