WB has officially announced that the release date of OotP for The Netherlands (Holland) has been put forward one day.

The new release date will be Wednesday July 11th.

Forbes magazine has released their annual ‘Celebrity 100’ list and this year Harry Potter author JK Rowling and actors Daniel Radcliffe(Harry Potter) and Emma Watson(Hermione Granger) made the list.

JKR is #48, Dan is #79 and Emma is #97. Click read more to see what the magazine has to say about them.

The release date for Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix has been moved up to July 11th in Argentina, Bolivia, Chile, Colombia, Panamá, Perú, Puerto Rico, Uruguay and Venezuela. Spain will also have a release date of the 11th. The only Hispanic country that won’t change the release date is Mexico which remains July 12th.

JKR has updated her site to say she will be touring the US in October.

In October I will be touring the USA for the first time since 2000. The Tour will include four events, three to be held for schoolchildren in Los Angeles, New Orleans and New York City and one event in New York City for any U.S. Harry Potter fan who wins a ticket through a sweepstakes to be held by Scholastic, my US publishers. At each event, I will read from Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, the seventh and final book in the Harry Potter series, answer questions about the entire series, and sign copies of the latest book.

Scholastic will launch the J.K. Rowling and the Open Book Tour Sweepstakes on July 30, 2007. Visit www.scholastic.com/harrypotter beginning July 30 for information on how to enter and complete rules.
