Here are some of the figures from the openings of order of the phoenix worldwide:

• OOTP took in $44.8 million on its first day.
• Breaking a record for the best single day gross ever for a wednesday movie (beating the previous holder spiderman 2)
• Opened on 950 screens in France.
• France took a takings of $5.9 million within the first day.
• The film opened on 126 IMAX screens worldwide , 91 of which in the USA.
• OOTP shattered IMAX records with it being opened on 90 IMAX screens in north america and taking  $1.9 million on opening day. $450,000 of which was midnight showings.

An article in New York magazine suggests a few British actors for parts in the Half Blood Prince movie:

• Jim Broadbent as Horace Slughorn
• Bill Nighy as Rufus Scrimgeour
• Daniel Day-Lewis as Marvolo Gaunt
• Kristin Scott Thomas as Narcissa Malfoy
• Ian McShane as Fenrir Grayback
• Michael Sheen as the Prime Minister

Remember that these are just thoughts as to who would be good for the parts, we don’t even know which characters will be cut from the movie.  I think Bill Nighy would be really good for someone in the movie, he was great in Pirates as Davy Jones. And the other people sound pretty good too.

I made a new wallpaper today with pictures from the Hand, Foot and Wand ceremony. I also made more of my Sorcerer’s Stone movie avatars. I still have a bunch I want to make from it, and then I will do some from the other three movies as well. (remember when viewing the pictures do it Date + so you see them in order)
