Tom Felton Interview with MTV, Confirms He Didn’t Reshoot Epilogue
Posted by Megs

In a new interview with MTV, Tom Felton talks about the Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows reshoots, his upcoming films, co-stars and more!

What about the “Deathly Hallows – Part 2” reshoots for that heavily hyped epilogue?
Felton:
Believe it or not, I got left off the hook. Apparently, the shot setup didn’t require my presence, so I was let off the hook at the last minute. I got all excited about going back, but I heard everything went swimmingly and everything is looking fantastic.

MTV: What’s the latest with your music?
Felton: It’s all going very well. We’re currently in development with a few artists that we’re hoping to get out next year and just promote this idea that low-key music can be some of the best. I’m hoping to do some other recording later on in the year. It’s a massive passion project of mine, and the fans’ response has been fantastic, and MTV has been good to me there as well. I thoroughly appreciate that.

Tom Felton Talks ‘Rise of the Apes’ with HeroComplex
Posted by Megs

In a new interview with Hero Complex Tom Felton discusses his upcoming film ‘Rise of the Apes’ where he will be playing a research facility employee named Dodge.  The film will be released on June 24th of this year.

“It’s one of my favorite scripts of any I’ve read,” Felton said. “It’s a brilliant script. It’s a prequel to the classic, ‘Planet of the Apes,’ so it explains how the apes came to power and it’s a fantastic story, really.”

He says he’s not concerned about playing another vindictive fellow in the “Apes” film. “I love playing a villainous role, and I would happily be known for that.  A lot of great English actors have been known for that, perhaps Ralph Fiennes and Alan Rickman and Anthony Hopkins being some of the finest.”

“I have to be careful here because they haven’t given me a clearance to divulge the entire plot — as much as I’d like to. I can tell you it’s a great story. I’m amazed, really, that they didn’t do [the original films] in this order and start with this modern-day story. It seems logical to start with this story and then go forward from there. But here we are; they’ve come back and done this interesting story. It essentially follows one particular ape. The story follows this one ape as he ends up in a primate facility, a facility where my character works. Needless to say, I’m not that keen on the monkeys at my facility. I’m not the most pleasant person they’ve ever come across in their life. I show this one particular ape that there is a dark side to humans, and I’m not very nice. And that leads to a backlash …”

Tom Felton, David Yates & David Heyman Talk Deathly Hallows Part 2
Posted by Megs

In a new interview with USA Today Tom Felton, David Yates and David Heyman talked about Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2.

The second film comes out July 15. “The very last one’s a big old epic, with lots of battles and dragons and goblins. It’s going to be operatic. And then it’s over,” says director David Yates.

“The decision to split this into two was purely a creative one. By doing two, there’s more detail and more time to engage with the characters in the way that we do,” says producer David Heyman. “It allows the audience time to bring themselves to it. The audience has the time to project their own feelings and engage with the characters.”

Asked if he’s feeling nostalgic, Yates says, “I don’t think we ever took it for granted. We’d sometimes joke about what we’re going to do when it’s all over. We’ll never have this amount of resources again. We’re going to have to go back into the real world, after living in this bubble.”

“One of the greatest gifts that Jo Rowling and the whole franchise has given (the actors) is that we can really end up making a kid’s night just from saying hello,” Felton says. “I was 12 when we started shooting; 13 when it came out. I’m 23 now. It’s been a long journey. You don’t see people growing up, not when you’re there. It’s only when you look back at the films. … Look at Daniel! He was bloody tiny. My face was like a basketball. But those angelic features seem to have left me,” he jokes.

“The last film will be it. It’s never going to be like this again. You never take this for granted,” Heyman says. “You want to do the end justice, so there’s a little bit of anxiety.”

Thanks to TLC for reminding me that I forgot to post this yesterday.

Posted by Megs

Today there is a small article online as well as photos from Matthew Lewis, Tom Felton, Jessie Cave, Alfie Enoch and Natalia Tena’s appearance at the Magic Christmas convention in Paris. You can see the photos here and here and a short translation of the article below.  Photos of just Matthew at the event may be seen here!

The weekend of 18 and 19 December 2010 (inclusive), was wonderful except the mess on the organization procedure the day of 18 December 2010
The day began with a long wait in the cold in 8 hours and during this one hour and fifteen minutes, and then one or two tails to get the media pass and autographs, and check your coat to leave my backpack and my coat.

I climb upstairs and I agree with the stands, I quickly look at what they offer (a booth to get personalized jewelry, shoes and sweatshirt fashion HP’s booth in the park in Florida and stay at sea The Daily Prophet, Obscurus Press, the Pensieve HP, Spotlight Events to buy keyrings, badges, t-shirts, autographs, carriers and / or additional photoshoots, a stand up and stand Cosplay).

The autograph sessions and photo shoots begin to everybody, I pass a No. 27 was either the 7th Group.

So I begin with an autograph session with Mister Matthew Lewis (Neville Longbottom), a very nice boy, he asked me if I was okay and my name, besides I beugué on spelling of my name: p It was very casual (dress).

Then I’m heading in the queue for the photoshoot with Mister Tom Felton (Draco Malfoy) where I sympathize with two girls (I’m going to the cuckoo and Mr. C., they will recognize ), A very nice boy really, who does not hesitate to “stick” near you Very far from the image of the wicked and cowardly Draco, really cool guys like.

Then comes the turn of Miss Natalia Tena (Nymphadora Tonks), which is funny, kind, makes you a kiss, appears and asks you if you’re okay (she speaks a little French), really great! Elle était habillée avec son style si particulier, un peu à la Tonks (Non, je rigole …) She was dressed in his particular style, a bit like Tonks (No, just kidding …)

I returned to the autograph session with Miss Jessie Cave (Lavender Brown), a very nice girl, she was dressed as in the sixth film, a little reserved in appearance, but very endearing, not as we want to Lavender type

Unfortunately, Mister Chris Rankin (Percy Weasley) could not be present because of the snow, his plane has been deleted

I also wanted to go see the French voices, but because of the organization, they were completely behind

In the afternoon, there was the game of questions and answers, everybody played along and answered all the questions, with a few giggles in more

Then 18 hours or so, I went to the hotel to change clothes and put on my prom dress (it was more a party dress), the evening started at 9:00 p.m. with the photoshoot of the Orders of Merlin with all guests (I remember I had a pass Sorcerer) and also had a special moment with the guests (Tom Felton, Matthew Lewis, Jessie Cave, Natalia Tena and Alfie Enoch who was also there for the evening, but not during the day because of exams). There were types of music clubs, and some songs of the fourth movie genre with The Story Continues, Potter Waltz, where some people (mostly girls together) have danced the waltz and went 2 times Do The Hyppogriff where we danced to the beat of the Weird Sisters. La soirée s’est terminée à minuit, comme Cendrillon The evening ended at midnight, like Cinderella

procedure the day of 19 December 2010
I arrived at about 9 o’clock, I started with the photoshoot with Matthew Lewis. D’ailleurs, très mauvais point pour la personne qui m’a envoyé boulet Moreover, very bad thing for the person who sent me ball but ultimately, I managed not to drop the piece, I had my picture with Matthew And it was just one with the photoshoot with Alfie Enoch, a boy really cool, still trying to laugh
Then in late morning, I went to shoot with Jessie Cave, who puts his arm around your waist for you to be right next to her.

Moreover, be called by the way, all the guests raised their arms and went around your waist for you to be very close to them

And in the afternoon, during the play of questions and answers, I went to queue to get my autograph Natalia Tena, who wrote a “nice” sentence in French (Really) the portion Matthew speaks a little French and knows very well “Liberty, Equality, Fraternity”, he came once 10 years ago in Paris.

Help Change The Lives Of Children In Zimbabwe with FeltBeats!
Posted by Megs

FeltBeats has just posted about a holiday fundraiser they will be having to help children in Zimbabwe, a charity that Tom is involved with.  Over the next six months they will be collecting donations for Zimbabwe’s Forgotten Children.

Each month, we will be collecting donations at http://www.justgiving.com/dracosgift . Just Giving is a non-profit agency that collects donations and submits them directly to the charity every 25 days. On the 5th of each month, Feltbeats.com will draw names from the doners the previous month to win special Feltbeats.com related goodies, culminating with the final draw on Draco Malfoy’s 31st Birthday! In July, Feltbeats.com members will be in London  presenting a celebratory check to the Zimbabwechildren.org’s offices listing the total raised for this life changing charity. When thinking of donating this holiday season, and beyond,  please keep the children of Zimbabwe in your hearts.

The money you donate will seriously help these young children, here is some information from the filmmakers of a documentary entitled Zimbabwe’s Forgotten Children:

Since making the film Zimbabwe’s Forgotten Children – we have been able to help the children featured. But they are among many thousands of children in desperate need of an EDUCATION. For £2.50 per month or £30.00 per year you can pay for a child’s school fees for an entire year in Zimbabwe

The following is a video of Tom talking about the cause.

So please be as generous as you can for this great cause!  I will be making my donation soon.
