Rupert attended the V Festival today and at one point was seen wearing a horse head mask (to disguise himself). You can see photos of him here! The telegraph also has a short interview with him from the festival.
After almost a decade playing the wholesome Ron in Harry Potter Rupert Grint may feel entitled to a change of scene. Grint, who turns 21 today, tells me that for his next role he would like to play a villain.
“I have always played the good guys so far,” he says. “I’d love to play a baddy and maybe beat some people up – do something different. I’m definitely a character actor.” Unlike Daniel Radcliffe, who memorably disrobed for his performance in Equus, it may be some time before Grint takes to the stage. He laments: “I would love to do some theatre but I’ve really only done school plays.”

ABC has posted a new video interview with Rupert Grint where he talks about Half-Blood Prince and more! I can’t watch the video so I will just use ICM’s description:
Rupert discusses the portrayal of teenage romance and the contrast between light and dark elements in the movie, as well as typecasting and the advantages of working with such greats as Alan Rickman and Maggie Smith. The interviewer also mentions that Rupert has other movies coming out later that take Rupert out of his comfort zone!
Thanks ICM!
