The Movie-Fanatic has updated their list of the 50 Hottest Young Actors, the full update will be online next month but now there is a preview of who may become part of the top 10! Rupert is mentioned in the update:
Rupert Grint: (current rank: #31) Among Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson and Grint, I would have to say, Grint appears to me to be the most serious in becoming a truly talented actor. Aside from Harry Potter, Grint played leading roles in two features – Cherrybomb and Wild Target. Grint is apparently attempting to come up with interesting roles, which started in the coming-of-age movie, Driving Lessons where he was terrific playing opposite Julie Walters and Laura Linney.
Thanks ICM! (YAY for Ben Barnes at 20 and Anton Yelchin [one of my fav star trek characters] at 17!)
While Rupert Grint was at the Reading Festival last month he bumped into Trekstock, an organization which gives to charity through music and fashion events, all funds raised by Trekstock benefit the Teenage Cancer Trust.
You can view a photo of Rupert with the iconic “I <3 Trekstock” blue pin here via Trekstock’s Twitter!

There is a new video online at YouTube that has video interviews with the cast where they talk about Half-Blood Prince and more! Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson, Rupert Grint, Tom Felton, Bonnie Wright, Michael Gambon, and director David Yates are interviewed:
In a new interview with Newsbeat Rupert Grint talks about the approaching end of the Harry Potter films.
“I’m just trying to make the most of it really because it is going to end. I think it is going to be sad, but I’m ready to move on as well. At the moment we’ve got so much to do. Because it’s two films it’s going to take a year.”
He admitted that snogging Emma, who plays Hermione Granger in the movie, was a bit weird. “We were dreading it to be honest, because we’ve grown up together and it just seemed wrong really,” he said. “It was fine. We just really believed we were Ron and Hermione and not Rupert and Emma and it was OK. It was only a few takes, so it didn’t last long.”
Most of the main cast members have worked on Harry Potter since the first movie was released back in 2001. Rupert says they all plan to keep in touch as they’ve been friends for so long. He said: “We get on great. It’s been quite a long few years and we’ve kind of grown up with each other and gone through a lot. We’re close. It’s good. Emma’s going to university and she’ll be busy and stuff but hopefully we’ll all stay in touch. We all get on.”
