The Hollywood Reporter has posted some rather interesting news regarding Rupert Grint. They report that Rupert may be starring in a pilot for a CBS comedy Super Clyde, which centers on a meek, unassuming fast-food worker decides to become a super hero.
THR says that Rupert will play Clyde, “the well-meaning and sweet yet slightly neurotic guy who never feels like he really fits in. The avid comic book reader considers himself a borderline agoraphobic with mild to severe anxiety issues who wishes he were a super hero himself. When Clyde inherits a $100,000 a month inheritance from his long-dead eccentric Uncle Bill, he decides that the cash will be his secret super power and will use it only for good and reward the good-hearted.”
Remember, this is a rumor until Rupert’s reps confirm it. AND even if it is true it is not guaranteed that the show will actually be produced. The pilot would have to be chosen as one of their new shows.
UPDATE: Thanks to Rupert-Grint.us we know this is, in fact, TRUE!
A new trailer for Rupert Grint’s new film, Into the White, has been released by Apple and may be watched below! The film is rated R and will be available on iTunes and On Demand March 7, 2013, and In Select Theaters April 12, 2013.
A synopsis of the film is as follows:
At the beginning of World War II a hostile chance encounter in the skies above the harsh Norwegian wilderness leaves two aircraft – one British, one German – shot down in a remote and isolated region. By strange coincidence the crews seek shelter in the same cabin. They must battle to survive the brutal winter in order to get back to the war – and to fighting one another. Although war has made them enemies, as the days go by animosity proves hard to maintain. Mutual need leads to unlikely friendships, and the rules of war must be put aside.

A synopsis/review of the film, from the Sundance site, is as follows:
Obeying the last wish of his deceased mother, young American Charlie travels to Eastern Europe with no plans. He lands in a truly unknown place—wilder, weirder, and more foreign than he could have ever imagined. Committed to spontaneous, explosive, and instinctive acts, Charlie now finds himself pursuing an equally lost soul named Gabi, a mysterious Romanian woman unable to shake her dark, violent past.
Fredrik Bond’s stylistically assured debut feature spins a drug-fueled fable of high-stakes romance, in which wearing your heart on your sleeve will leave you a bloody mess. A dynamic lead performance by Shia LaBeouf sees him pummeled at every turn as he desperately fights for the magnetic Evan Rachel Wood. The couple squares off against a dream pairing of movie bad guys: Mads Mikkelsen and Til Schweiger. This gorgeously shot adventure, with a hard-charging score setting its pace, provides a truly unique vision of the pain and ecstasy of love.
