Thanks to Emma’s official site we know that Emma presented JKR an award of special recognition at the Pride of Britain Awards.  It also says that she will be attending the first ever  UK Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards.

Just a short time ago Emma had the huge honour of presenting J.K Rowling with a Special Recognition award at the Pride of Britain awards. A thrilled Jo Rowling accepted the award from Emma who was specifically asked to attend the ceremony and to present the award by J.K herself! We would just like to pass on our congratulations to Jo Rowling.

JK Rowling has adopted an greyhound from Celia’s Greyhound Rescue in Fife.

Celia Fernie’s initial impression was that the woman identifying herself as Mrs Murray was a “very nice lady” with a loving family – someone who would make a good home for one of her greyhounds.

It was only when [Celia Ferine] asked for a £30 donation to Greyhound Rescue Fife, which the 61-year-old runs with her husband, Jimmy, near Kirkcaldy, that she realised she had been dealing with the world’s most famous children’s author.

At the bottom of a cheque for £1000 was the signature millions of Harry Potter fans would die for. “When I looked at the cheque I couldn’t believe it. The first thing I noticed was the amount she had made it out for,” Mrs Fernie said yesterday.

If you recall, yesterday, I posted that Dan Radcliffe, Jo Rowling and Stephen Fry would be attending the Pride of Britain Awards.

Emma Watson Official has now confirmed that Emma will be attending the event as well.

The Daily Mirror is reporting that JK Rowling, Daniel Radcliffe and Stephen Fry will be among the starts attending The Daily Mirror Pride of Britain Awards 2007.

Prince Charles and Prime Minister Gordon Brown join JK Rowling, Harry Potter star Daniel Radcliffe, Ewan MacGregor, Ant and Dec, Stephen Fry, Dame Shirley Bassey, Simon Cowell, Jamie Oliver, Sir David Jason and Little Britain’s Matt Lucas and David Walliams in saluting the amazing real-life winners.
