The Grand Finale of Harry Potter: Hogwarts Tournament of Houses Airing this Sunday

This Sunday marks the final week of competition for Harry Potter: Hogwarts Tournament of Houses on Cartoon Network and TBS. Tune in at 8pm on Sunday the 19th. All 4 episodes of the show also will be available on HBO Max in the US on January 1st. If you haven’t seen the first 3 episodes don’t watch the trailer below or you’ll be spoiled on who is in the finale!

Join Helen Mirren for a historic night in the history of Hogwarts as this epic TV event series culminates in the Grand Finale. Tonight’s final edition is full of Wizarding World trivia, packed with magical special guests and overflowing with classic clips. It all comes down to this, one team, one house will tonight lift the inaugural Hogwarts Tournament of Houses trophy.

Preview of 20th Anniversary Special to Air During Hogwarts Tournament of Houses

The second episode of Harry Potter: Hogwarts Tournament of Houses “Ravenclaw vs. Slytherin” will be airing this Sunday, December 5th at 8pm on TBS and Cartoon Network. The episode will also include a sneak peek at Harry Potter 20th Anniversary: Return to Hogwarts. The HBO Max special will reunite Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint, Emma Watson, filmmaker Chris Columbus and other cast members across all eight Harry Potter films to celebrate the anniversary of the franchise’s first film, Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone.

Tonight’s blockbuster battle of the Houses of Hogwarts sees the wise and witty Ravenclaws go up against the proud and ambitious Slytherins in a test of Wizarding World knowledge. Only one team can claim an automatic place in the grand finale. As always, tonight’s match-up will take place under the watchful eye of the master of ceremonies Helen Mirren, and guest star Tom Felton, Shirley Henderson, Jay Leno, and Luke Youngblood. Filled with classic Harry Potter movie moments, this is another historic night in Hogwarts history.

The first episode of Hogwarts Tournament of Houses premiered on Sunday, Nov. 28 on TBS and Cartoon Network as Cable’s #1 New Unscripted Series of 2021 and delivered the most-watched premiere of the year for both networks. 3.1 million viewers tuned in for the Gryffindor vs. Hufflepuff showdown.

More details have been released for the upcoming Harry Potter: Hogwarts Tournament of Houses show including a trailer. The first episode “Gryffindor vs. Hufflepuff” will air on TBS and Cartoon Network on Sunday Nov. 28th at 8pm. After it’s first run on those channels it will be available on HBO Max next year.

The full schedule is as follows:

Sunday, Nov. 28 – “Gryffindor vs. Hufflepuff”
Helen Mirren hosts the first episode of this epic TV event series. Over four episodes, the Houses of Hogwarts will battle to see which team knows the most about the Wizarding World, featuring more Harry Potter magic than you could find on a day trip to Diagon Alley. Tonight’s match-up sees the brave Gryffindors face the loyal Hufflepuffs for a guaranteed place in the grand finale. Guest stars include: Pete Davidson, Simon Fisher-Becker, Matthew Lewis, and Luke Youngblood. 
 
Sunday, Dec. 5 – “Ravenclaw vs. Slytherin”

Helen Mirren returns to the Wizarding World to oversee this head-to-head wildcard matchup. The two houses that lost their previous battles in this distinguished TV event series now have one last chance to take their place in the grand finale. There will be more Harry Potter trivia than you could squeeze into a cupboard under the stairs. Tonight’s episode is another magical Harry Potter chapter of drama, courage and redemption. Guest stars include: Dan Fogler and Luke Youngblood.

Gearing up for the greatest fan competition in Wizarding World history, TBS and Cartoon Network released today the official trailer and new details for Harry Potter: Hogwarts Tournament of Houses. Premiering Sunday, Nov. 28 at 8:00 p.m. ET/PT, the four-part special event, hosted by Academy Award®-winning actress Helen Mirren, will feature celebrity fans and Harry Potter film alumni as it showcases Wizarding World fandom on a never-before-seen scale.

Revealed in today’s trailer, Harry Potter cast members Tom Felton, Simon Fisher-Becker, Shirley Henderson, Luke Youngblood, and more will make special cameos alongside super fans Pete Davidson, and Jay Leno.

The bracket-style competition will feature fans competing for their Hogwarts house in teams of three. Houses go head to head in four epic battles answering hundreds of Wizarding World trivia questions with help from the live audience to unveil which house knows the intricately detailed universe like the back of their hand. Winning teams of each round will advance to the grand finale to determine who will take home the Tournament of Houses championship trophy.

Along with the spectacular trophy and ultimate bragging rights, the winning house will be awarded with a once-in-a-lifetime trip to Wizarding World locations across the East Coast.* All travel accommodations will be provided for. This includes:

– A $1000 shopping spree at the Harry Potter New York store

– Tickets to the award-winning Broadway production of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child

Viewers at home can join in and compete for victory in the Wizarding World Quiz Championship, the companion digital quiz event on WizardingWorld.com. Three online quizzes escalating in difficulty will debut every Friday, Nov. 26 through Dec. 10, allowing fans to represent their Official Hogwarts house and test their own Wizarding World knowledge. The winning house of the at-home competition will be announced on Dec. 20.
