Bonnie Wright Talks Harry Potter with Interview Magazine
Posted by Megs

Bonnie Wright recently spoke to Interview magazine about the Harry Potter series, school and more.  The interview also included some new photos of the Ginny Weasley actress that you may see in the gallery. Some snippets from her interview may be read below, the full interview can be read over at Interview’s website.

SYMONDS: How does it feel now that it’s all over, and there’s nothing left to film?
WRIGHT:  It’s very weird. I think it’s one of those things that we thought would never, ever happen. It was the last week, and then it finally became the last day, and it was just so bizarre. I think for all of us, it’s been such a long journey, and such an amazing journey, that we were all very happy to tie it up and move on to the next stage of our lives. I think that’s the most important thing now for me, is definitely to keep acting, and to try and diversify my skills and share myself in different roles. When you start so young working, you build a hunger for acting, working, and a busy life.

SYMONDS: What’s your concentration?
WRIGHT: I’m studying film and television in London. So that’s very interesting. I kind of went towards that: the idea of writing, storytelling, all the different things that go behind film; and I always wanted to go to art school, and it’s one of the big art schools of London, so that was a dream that I completed.

[For you fashion lovers out there Bonnie is wearing Pringle of Scotland clothing [except for a Stella McCartney dress] and Wright and Teague jewelry, which is her parent’s label]

Look at Deathly Hallows: Part II Sets
Posted by Megs

Architectural Digest has a new article online where they interview Stuart Craig, the Harry Potter set designer. Stuart has shared with them a bunch of never before seen sets from Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part II and how he designed them.  Those photos may be seen in the gallery.  Some of the descriptions may be read below, the rest can be seen in the article.

Part of the Battle of Hogwarts takes place in the school’s entrance hall, which was redesigned for the scene. “This is one example of how things just evolve and how Hogwarts changes from one movie to the next,” says Craig. “In the final battle, it’s required that the statues jump down and take part in the battle. So we needed to change the look of the entrance hall.” [accompanying photo]

Harry, Ron, and Hermione escape Gringotts on the dragon, crashing through the levels of the bank, including the marble hall shown in this concept drawing. Craig notes that, like the sets, the creatures have evolved. “Harry Potter, in its ten-year period, spanned quite a bound in technology. At the beginning, we would have done most things physically—even some of the creatures were sculpted full size and operated as animatronic creatures. Toward the end of the process, they became digital constructions and brilliantly real.” [accompanying photo]
