Movieline’s Hottest Young Stars
Posted by Megs

Movieline‘s 25 Under 25: Hollywood’s Hottest Young Stars list includes Emma Watson, Daniel Radcliffe and Robert Pattinson.

Emma Watson | Age: 19 | Years on List: 2007, 2008, 2009
What She’s Done: She’s embodied our favorite girl wizard, Hermione Granger, in the beloved — and wildly successful — ‘Harry Potter’ movies.
What’s Next: The clever Brit has enrolled in Brown University, but with two ‘Potter’ films still to come, we doubt that Watson will be disappearing from our radar anytime soon.
Industry Buzz: “When ‘Potter’ wraps in 2011, it’ll be interesting to see if the young lady (she’ll be 21 years old by the time ‘Potter’ ends) can shake the spells and broomsticks and craft a new image. Whether you like or loathe the series, one thing is for certain: Watson has turned into a fine actress in her teen years. She can do heartbreaking tragedy, romance and has a good feel for comedy. If she chooses to continue acting, she has the chops to move past her persona and craft a magical career.” — Dave McCoy, MSN Movies

Daniel Radcliffe | Age: 20 | Years on List: 2007, 2008, 2009
What He’s Done: Ever heard of a little film series called ‘Harry Potter’? Well, we hear he’s in it. He also bared his soul — and a lot more — onstage in ‘Equus’; how many other young actors have done that (without there being alcohol or a bet involved)?
What’s Next: His next non-Potter project is a biopic entitled ‘The Journey Is the Destination,’ in which he plays the late photojournalist Dan Eldon, who was killed in 1993 by a mob in Mogadishu.
Industry Buzz: “When you’re the title character of the biggest moneymaking film franchise of all time, you might just be content to sit back and enjoy the ride. But Radcliffe has shown a real willingness to branch out as an actor in ‘Equus’ and ‘December Boys.'” — Matt Atchity, Rotten Tomatoes

Robert Pattinson | Age: 23 | Years on List: 2007, 2008, 2009
What He’s Done: You don’t have to be a ‘Twi’-hard to appreciate R-Pattz’s smoldering gaze in the first film adaptation of the teen-vampire love story ‘Twilight.’
What’s Next: The ‘Twilight’ saga continues; ‘New Moon’ will hit theaters later this year, and ‘Eclipse’ — already filming — is set for summer 2010. If that’s not enough Pattinson for you, also look for him in the 2010 indie romantic drama ‘Remember Me.’
Industry Buzz: “Pattinson could have a tidy career for the next few years as a hunky British heartthrob … Don’t hold the ‘Twilight Saga’ against him; he’s willing to play against type with roles like Salvador Dali in ‘Little Ashes,’ and the willingness to take roles like that means he could be working for a long time to come.” — Matt Atchity, Rotten Tomatoes

Dan and Emma: Guinness Book of World Records
Posted by Megs

The Telegraph is reporting that Daniel and Emma will be in the Guinness Book of World Records.

Daniel Radcliffe and Emma Watson have entered the Guinness World Records book as the highest grossing lead actors of the decade.

Despite their tender years – Watson is 19, while Radcliffe celebrated his 20th birthday in July – the duo have outstripped the fortunes of their Hollywood rivals thanks to the success of the Harry Potter films.

The figures from the new edition of Guinness World Records is based on box office takings. The first six Harry Potter films have grossed $5.4 billion, and there are two more to come.

Radcliffe’s films earn an average of $558 million, while Watson is ahead of $753.7 million as last year she also starred in The Tale of Despereaux, a children’s animation in which she voiced a princess.

All I have to say is WHERE IS RUPERT! Why do they always forget about him…shouldn’t he be included with them? Maybe its because he isn’t a lead…UGH!

UPDATE: Sky News has some more information about this:

Lead star Radcliffe was named “highest grossing actor of the decade” as his films earned an average of just under £400m at the box office, while Watson, who plays Hermione, took the record for “highest average box-office gross for an actress”.

Guinness World Records 2010 goes on sale on Thursday.

Tim Hailand talks Dan Radcliffe & One Day in The Life
Posted by Megs

DanRadcliffe.co.uk interviewed photographer and author Tim Hailandabout One Day in The Life of book that focuses on actor Daniel Radcliffe.

What was your favorite photo(s) to take of Dan?
It would be hard to say which shots are my favorites, but if I had to choose, I would say the first image of him sleeping in bed, the images we shot in Times Square, as well as an image of him in his dressing room. My approach in picture taking is to take “natural” photos, while at the same time trying to create beautiful and/or iconic images. Beauty and sense of person is my goal, and hopefully I have achieved that in some of these images.

How many photos did you take that didn’t make it into the book?
I took photos all day, there are probably a few hundred.

Why did you choose to use the photos that you did?
Any time I present my work, whether it be in a gallery context, or in this case a book, I try to tell a story. I chose images that I felt best told the story of this particular day in Dan’s life. I then further edited these images as I do not want any redundancies. Each picture tells a story, and collectively they create a portrait of a day – so I choose the images that I feel tell the story best
