Video: Preview of ‘A Young Doctor’s Notebook’; New Interview with Daniel Radcliffe

Sky Arts released the first footage from Daniel Radcliffe’s miniseries, A Young Doctor’s Notebook, which premieres on December 6. Dan and costar Jon Hamm can be seen throughout the TV Lineup video below.

First Photo of Daniel Radcliffe in ‘Horns’

Production for Daniel Radcliffe’s newest film, a supernatural thriller titled Horns, started recently and Entertainment Weekly has posted the first promotional photo of  the film! A press release on the film stated “This rock and roll infused dark fantasy explores why bad things happen to good people, and what the loss of true love can do to a man.”

Daniel plays the title character, Ignatius “Ig” Perrish,who according to EW “is accused of the violent rape and murder of his girlfriend before waking up and to find horns that come with a wildly tempting power trip — he can induce people to tell the truth or compel them to give into their ugliest inner urges.”

Dan described the role as “deeply emotional and also incredibly outrageous in some ways.” and further states “To play somebody who, in the midst of a time in his life of great turmoil anyway, undergoes this horrific transformation into a devil character — it was very, very exciting.”

Earlier today Daniel Radcliffe participated in a live web chat for The Trevor Project.  The video is now available online and may be watched below. Daniel has been a supporter of the organization, which helps to prevent LGBT teen suicide, for quite a few years.

Emma Watson, Tom Felton and Daniel Radcliffe Filming Updates

Today we have some film updates for Emma Watson, Daniel Radcliffe and Tom Felton.  Firstly, five new promotional photos of Emma Watson in The Perks of Being a Wallflower have been released and can be seen in the IHeartWatson Gallery. They have also reported that the release date has been pushed back a week from September 14th to September 21st of this year.

Additionally, thanks to DanRadcliffe.co.uk, some new photos of Daniel Radcliffe on set for his upcoming film The F Word, have appeared online.  The photos may be seen via this link.  In the film Dan plays a man who is trying to become just friends with a girl he likes. Filming is said to take place over 6 weeks in Toronto and Dublin, there is no release date yet.

Finally, a slew of new photos from Tom Felton’s newest film The Apparition, have been released on the movie’s Facebook pageThe Apparation hits theatres on August 24th.

Daniel Radcliffe to Star in Rom-Com ‘The F Word’

According to Variety, Daniel Radcliffe is set to star in the new romantic comedy, The F Word, which begins shooting in Toronto starting mid-August! The “F” in the title standing for friend, meaning the friend zone, because Daniel is “venturing to be the first male to have a successfully platonic relationship with a girl he likes (Zoe Kazan), only to find out she’s already in a relationship.” Some production details are as follows:

“Goon” helmer Michael Dowse is set to direct from a script by Elan Mastai (“The Samaritan”) that appeared on the 2008 Black List.

David Gross and Jesse Shapira of No Trace Camping (“Goon”) will produce along with Marc Stephenson and Hartley Gorenstein. Dowse and Jeff Arkuss will exec produce with NHO Entertainment’s Mark Costa and Ford Oelman.

Pic is based on the play “Toothpaste and Cigars” by T.J. Dawe and Michael Rinaldi. Production starts Aug. 15 in Toronto, and additional casting is under way.

eOne Films has acquired world rights in all media to the pic and will sell it in all territories. It will also handle theatrical release in the U.K. and Canada. UTA and Jamie Feldman will handle the sale of U.S. rights.
