The National Board of Review of Motion Pictures have announced the winners of their 2011 awards.  Harry Potter has been honored with TWO pieces of recognition.  The first is the  Special Achievement in Filmmaking to The Harry Potter Franchise – A Distinguished Translation from Book to Film.

It has also been named one of the Top Films of the Year!  The other 8 movies in the list include; The Artist, The Descendants, Drive, The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, The Ides of March, J. Edgar, The Tree of Life, and War Horse .
