Update: WB have released a video preview for the Tour:
This afternoon we have received the official press release and a couple new photos of Matthew Lewis at the Media Opening for Harry Potter: The Exhibition in Sydney, Australia. The full press release, which includes ticket pricing and more, may be read here and a bunch of photos of Matthew at the event may be seen at Matthew-Lewis.com. (The 2 new photos will be added to that album shortly, I’m waiting for them to send back High Resolution versions.)
Yesterday, Harry Potter film star Matthew Lewis, who played Neville Longbottom throughout the film series, was joined by hundreds of Harry Potter fans at the Powerhouse Museum to celebrate Harry Potter: The Exhibition coming to Sydney on 19 November 2011. Providing the audience with a sneak peek of the exhibition, Lewis revealed iconic film props and costumes including the Flying Ford Anglia, the Bloody Baron’s costume and a never-before-seen Death Eater costume.
Tickets are on sale now for Harry Potter: The Exhibition, showing exclusively at the Powerhouse Museum in Sydney, beginning on 19 November 2011 through to 18 March 2012.
The Pottermore blog has been updated with a few questions and answers sent to them by fans. Read all the answers here and a select few below:
Can you please explain what you mean by ‘online reading experience’? How much will I, as a Pottermore user, be able to affect the story? After all, hasn’t Harry’s story already been told?
The best way to think of Pottermore is as an interactive, illustrated companion to the books. J.K. Rowling wanted to create a site where her stories could live on and where readers could explore them in a new way. In addition to discovering new material from J.K. Rowling about Harry’s world, you’ll be able to interact with key story Moments (the Sorting Hat sequence, for example) and upload your own comments, thoughts and artwork for all the characters, objects and places that you come across.
Once I’ve been sorted, will I be able to change houses?
J.K. Rowling has created a series of questions for the Sorting Hat, and how you answer these questions will determine which of the four houses you’ll be in. Once you’ve been sorted, you won’t be able to change; the Sorting Hat’s decision is final!
The Harry POtter UK Facebook has released an emotional video showing some of the casts’ last days on the set for Harry Potter. There are some speeches and interview segments thrown in. Watch below and enjoy:
On a side note, I would like to thank the cast and crew for everything. They did an amazing job with all the films and I couldn’t have asked for anything more! We are going to miss you guys playing our favorite characters and you will always have fans in us no matter where your career takes you! Good luck to everyone in their post-Potter lives!
Yesterday, after spending a few days at the LeakyCon fan convention in Orlando, Evanna Lynch and Scarlett Byrne (Pansy) visited The Wizarding World of Harry Potter and tried on some Spectrespecs! Photos of the Potter actresses may be seen in the gallery; here and here, thanks to Universal for sending them over!
“Irish actress Evanna Lynch, known for her role as Luna Lovegood in the Harry Potter film series, stopped to admire the Quibbler display and try on a pair of Spectrespecs at Dervish and Banges, a magical supplies and equipment shop at The Wizarding World of Harry Potter on Monday, July 18, 2011. Lynch was hosted by Universal Orlando Resort, spending some time at the theme parks while attending a Harry Potter fan conference in Orlando. Lynch played a role in the final installment of the Harry Potter film series, “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 2,” which debuted on Friday.”
Chris Bratt has emailed to let me know about a recent video interview he got the chance to do with Tom Felton about the Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows video games. Watch below and enjoy:
