Cheers from guests filled the air at Hogsmeade Station today as Universal Orlando Resort celebrated its one millionth rider on the Hogwarts Express – the iconic train that transported Harry Potter and his friends between Hogsmeade Station and King’s Cross Station in J.K. Rowling’s beloved series. To celebrate this magical milestone, nearly two hundred guests were given complimentary Butterbeer ice-cream.

In early July, guests began boarding the Hogwarts Express to travel between The Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Hogsmeade in Universal’s Islands of Adventure and The Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Diagon Alley in Universal Studios Florida. The incredible journey, which requires a park-to-park ticket, combines powerful storytelling, live special effects, lifelike animation and state-of-the-art technology to take riders on the journey of a lifetime.

Bloomsbury Releases Jonny Duddle’s Back Covers
Posted by Megs

Bloomsbury has released the new back cover images from Jonny Duddle’s new interpretation of the books on their Facebook thismorning! View all seven images in our gallery.

MuggleNet, who exclusively released the photos earlier in the morning, also posted an exclusive interview with the artist that you can read here! One thing to note is that Jonny had not previously read the books before learning he could potentially illustrate the covers. He, along with a few other illustrators, submitted a cover for Philosopher’s Stone and Jonny was selected.  He also made sure to not watch the movies before finishing the covers so as to not be influenced by actors or landscapes.

Posted by Megs

Variety reports that Domnhall Gleeson is joining the cast of The Revenant which also stars Leonardo DiCaprio, Will Poulter and Tom Hardy. Thanks to Empire, we have a short synopsis of the film, based on Michael Punke’s novel of the same name:

The Revenant follows an ill-fated fur trapping expedition to chilly 1820s South Dakota. Hunter Hugh Glass (DiCaprio) is mauled by a bear in the harsh climate, and his companions leave him for dead. To add insult to injury, two men are assigned to bury what everyone assumes is his dead body. But the greedy pair decides to rob him and leave him helpless instead. Glass recovers, and swears bloody revenge…

This is one of many new films for Dom, best known to us as Bill Weasley but soon to become a huge star, thanks to the new Star Wars film.
