I have just found another new clip from the Ultimate Edition of Prisoner of Azkaban Amazon.com’s product page. The video is Warwick Davis and David Heyman talking about the goblins in Sorcerer’s Stone.
EA’s official website has been updated to include a list of actors who lent their voices to the Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows video game. The list of actors is as follows: Rupert Grint, James and Oliver Phelps, Tom Felton, Dave Legeno (Fenrir Greyback), Alfie Enoch (Dean Thomas), Warwick Davis (Griphook), Toby Jones (Dobby), Simon McBurney (Kreacher), and Evanna Lynch. You can preorder the video game at the following links:
Warwick Davis was interviewed on Tuesday during Channel 4’s 5 O’clock show where he talked about his acting career. He talked about Harry Potter, Star Wars, Willow, and the pilot for his comedy, Life’s Too Short.
In another new interview with MTV, Warwick Davis talks about what it has been like working on the Harry Potter films.
“I think all of my favorite moments are in the last two films,” Davis said. “I got to do some really interesting and important things, which is nice. Previously in the films, it’s always been great to be there, but normally I’ve been the kind of comic relief. I’ve had silly, fun things to do, which have been very memorable,” he explained. “It’s wonderful. People always remember those moments, but I felt having Griphook and Flitwick [in the final two films] — I have much more bearing and importance on the plot as well.”
Davis added that the absolute best moment for him was both surreal and emotional. “People who’ve read the books will know this (spoiler alert), but the moment where Voldemort exclaims that Harry Potter is dead … to have read that and to actually be there as it’s happening, that was quite emotional and quite surreal. It sends a shiver down your spine because you’re standing there and witnessing this event. It’s almost like reading the newspaper going back in time, witnessing a world-changing event.”
In a new interview with MTV, Harry Potter actor Warwick Davis talks about his last day filming Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. Warwick plays both Professor Flitwick (aka the Choir Conductor) and Griphook in the final films. You can read part of the interview and watch it below.
“I shot my last day on ‘Harry Potter’ last Saturday. It was a very sad, very emotional day,” actor Warwick Davis told MTV News recently at the grand opening of the Wizarding World of Harry Potter theme park. “I never really get upset finishing a film. I’m normally glad that it’s over, that I won’t have to wear the makeup anymore — but I was actually really quite choked up about it. Ten years’ worth of work finished, and on Sunday, it was worse. I woke up Sunday morning thinking, ‘No more Harry Potter. That’s it.’ ”
Davis, who plays Hogwarts’ residential Charms expert Professor Flitwick, recalled the emotional final day of shooting. “I was filming with the second unit, and then I went over to the first unit where they were doing the last shot with Dan [Radcliffe], Rupert [Grint] and Emma [Watson]. The first assistant director didn’t shout, ‘It’s a wrap.’ He didn’t say that. He said, ‘Come over to the screens over here. I have a lot of video to show you.’ He set up the video: a piece of film that they’d shot every day with what’s called the golden boards. It would be a special guest that day or an actor who was finishing up the film, or whatever. If something unusual was happening, they’d be the person holding the golden board. Twenty minutes’ worth to summarize the last year and a half that we’d been working on the movie. It was really very sad.”
Although Davis couldn’t divulge the final scene that was shot for “Deathly Hallows,” he confirmed that the last shot involved Radcliffe, Grint and Watson. “It was them, as it should be,” he said. “The three of them. I was lucky to be there for the last day. I think I was the only other cast member in on it.”
Merlin, a television series in the UK that also plays on SyFy in the US, will be having a few Harry Potter actors guest star in Series 3! As I posted a long time ago, John Hurt (Olivander) has been doing the voice of the Dragon since the first episode. This season we get to see Miriam Margolyes (Professor Sprout) and Warwick Davis (Flitwick, Griphook). According to Colin Morgan who plays Merlin:
Any special guest stars in the third series that you won’t get into trouble for talking about?
I’ll probably get whipped for it later, but I’ll be fine. [Laughs] Fans of the Harry Potter films will see a few familiar faces. One of the great people who we just had recently was Miriam Margolyes, who features as Professor Sprout in the Harry Potter films, and she is just an absolute blast. That’s an episode in the third series, the sixth, to look forward to. And one I’m really excited about, and he hasn’t been in yet, is Warwick Davis. I’m a huge fan of Willow from growing up, and he’s featured in Harry Potter.
This is one of my favorite shows, so I’m quite excited!
