Last night Chris Rankin updated his Twitter account with some very very exciting news.  He said:

in the hotel, excited for filming in the morrow, but not excited for the 5am wake-up call… 43 principal cast on set tomorrow…!

This is only an assumption but I, and many others, are guessing this means that the Battle of Hogwarts scene is being filmed!  We also know via Twitter that Matthew Lewis, James and Oliver Phelps, and Warwick Davis are also on set this week!  Matt had also mentioned the following on his twitter on Tuesday:

Well that was an awfully short day at work. Rest of the week won’t be as easy if this morning’s rehearsal was anything to go by. Love it.

Peterborough Today is reporting that Harry Potter actor Warwick Davis will be turning on the holiday lights in Peterborough.

Warwick Davis has been revealed as the celebrity who will switch on Peterborough’s Christmas lights in November. The Yaxley film star – who played Professor Filius Flitwick in the Harry Potter movies – will switch on the festive display on November 19 at 7pm.

Today, October 17th is Professor Filius Flitwick’s birthday!  Flitwick is the Charms Professor and Head of Ravenclaw House, in the films he also acts as the Choir Director.

Also in Flitwick related news Warwick Davis did an FAQ session through his Twitter yesterday and answered a bunch of Potter related questions!

• Are you going to do the voice of Griphook in the new movies? Yes…body too!
• Which was your favorite HP movie to film? Goblet of Fire.
• How long does it take to get into makeup for Prof. Flitwick? 3 hours.
• Is it true that you voiced Griphook in “Philosopher’s Stone”? Yes.
• In HBP, Harry calls the choir master Professor Flitwick. Is this a mistake? Nope.
• QUICK QUESTION: What’s your fav HP book?? “Prisoner of Azkaban”…love the time-turning part.
• If you could have one magical power what would it be? The power of flight.
• If you could play another Potter character which would it be? Without doubt, Snape.

Today on Twitter Warwick Davis answered a fan’s question about Professor Flitwick’s transformation, here is his answer:

“Could you possibly give us an insight as to why Flitwick’s look was changed for the third HP movie?”
So many of you have asked me the ‘New look Flitwick’ question, so I will answer it here, once and for all. When it came time to shoot ‘Azkaban’, there was no mention of ‘Flitwick” in the script. However, the producer still wanted me to be in the movie, so he asked if I would play the role of ‘Choir Master’. Of course, I said ‘yes’. When it came time to shoot ‘Goblet of Fire’, the director, Michael Newell said he liked the look of the choir master, and from that moment, the character became known as ‘Flitwick’.

Warwick Davis (Flitwick, Griphook) will be attending this weekend’s Collectormania Glasgow at the Braehead Arena. As I already reported, Natalia Tena will be there on Saturday, August 29th, and Warwick will be at the event both Saturday and Sunday.
