Universal has released 3 new photos from the Grand Opening of The Wizarding World of Harry Potter! Two of the photos are of the cast leading a group of children into the park and another of Dan Radcliffe and Oliver Phelps riding The Flight of the Hippogriff with some of them. See all three photos in the gallery!
Today we have a wonderful video of the Grand Opening of the Wizarding World of Harry Potter from this morning! Watch below! More news of the day will be posted later, I’m just posting this quickly while I’m at work (shhh!)
In a new video interview while at the Celebrity Preview of the Wizarding World of Harry Potter, Rupert Gring talks about the Harry Potter Theme Park with MSNBC. He talks about working on the Potter films and he talks about how “the three boys and the girl were crying on the set”, but he wasn’t there that day. He also talks about how he hasn’t read the final book; the interviewer seems a bit confused when she hears that.
We have a few more interesting details about the Wizarding World of Harry Potter opening details. First, as I posted, there will be a live stream of the events. This next tidbit comes from Ice Cream Man:
One event that ICM will be apart of is a press conference that will be during the day on Thursday. Rupert, along with Tom Felton and Michael Gambon will be one of the press conferences that we will attend. There will be several others with various stars including Bonnie Wright and Matthew Lewis. For those wondering, there was nothing on Emma Watson being there for these but we’re not sure of the grand opening event.
Also the Today Show will be live on that day interview Rupert and his harry potter co-stars including Daniel Radcliffe and Michael Gambon!
Universal Orlando has announced that composer John Williams – who scored the first three Harry Potter films – will be at the Grand Opening of the Wizarding World of Harry Potter Wednesday night.
The Times is reporting that Michael Gambon will also be in attendance at the Wizarding World of Harry Potter theme park opening!
Tomorrow, many of the actors from the Potter films, including Daniel Radcliffe, who plays Harry, and Sir Michael Gambon, who is the headmaster Dumbledore, will fly to Florida for the opening of the new attraction, part of Universal’s existing Islands of Adventure theme park. It will include a steam-belching Hogwarts Express, the village of Hogsmeade and, towering over them all, a reproduction of Hogwarts itself.
