Posted by Megs

Today there is a small article online as well as photos from Matthew Lewis, Tom Felton, Jessie Cave, Alfie Enoch and Natalia Tena’s appearance at the Magic Christmas convention in Paris. You can see the photos here and here and a short translation of the article below.  Photos of just Matthew at the event may be seen here!

The weekend of 18 and 19 December 2010 (inclusive), was wonderful except the mess on the organization procedure the day of 18 December 2010
The day began with a long wait in the cold in 8 hours and during this one hour and fifteen minutes, and then one or two tails to get the media pass and autographs, and check your coat to leave my backpack and my coat.

I climb upstairs and I agree with the stands, I quickly look at what they offer (a booth to get personalized jewelry, shoes and sweatshirt fashion HP’s booth in the park in Florida and stay at sea The Daily Prophet, Obscurus Press, the Pensieve HP, Spotlight Events to buy keyrings, badges, t-shirts, autographs, carriers and / or additional photoshoots, a stand up and stand Cosplay).

The autograph sessions and photo shoots begin to everybody, I pass a No. 27 was either the 7th Group.

So I begin with an autograph session with Mister Matthew Lewis (Neville Longbottom), a very nice boy, he asked me if I was okay and my name, besides I beugué on spelling of my name: p It was very casual (dress).

Then I’m heading in the queue for the photoshoot with Mister Tom Felton (Draco Malfoy) where I sympathize with two girls (I’m going to the cuckoo and Mr. C., they will recognize ), A very nice boy really, who does not hesitate to “stick” near you Very far from the image of the wicked and cowardly Draco, really cool guys like.

Then comes the turn of Miss Natalia Tena (Nymphadora Tonks), which is funny, kind, makes you a kiss, appears and asks you if you’re okay (she speaks a little French), really great! Elle était habillée avec son style si particulier, un peu à la Tonks (Non, je rigole …) She was dressed in his particular style, a bit like Tonks (No, just kidding …)

I returned to the autograph session with Miss Jessie Cave (Lavender Brown), a very nice girl, she was dressed as in the sixth film, a little reserved in appearance, but very endearing, not as we want to Lavender type

Unfortunately, Mister Chris Rankin (Percy Weasley) could not be present because of the snow, his plane has been deleted

I also wanted to go see the French voices, but because of the organization, they were completely behind

In the afternoon, there was the game of questions and answers, everybody played along and answered all the questions, with a few giggles in more

Then 18 hours or so, I went to the hotel to change clothes and put on my prom dress (it was more a party dress), the evening started at 9:00 p.m. with the photoshoot of the Orders of Merlin with all guests (I remember I had a pass Sorcerer) and also had a special moment with the guests (Tom Felton, Matthew Lewis, Jessie Cave, Natalia Tena and Alfie Enoch who was also there for the evening, but not during the day because of exams). There were types of music clubs, and some songs of the fourth movie genre with The Story Continues, Potter Waltz, where some people (mostly girls together) have danced the waltz and went 2 times Do The Hyppogriff where we danced to the beat of the Weird Sisters. La soirée s’est terminée à minuit, comme Cendrillon The evening ended at midnight, like Cinderella

procedure the day of 19 December 2010
I arrived at about 9 o’clock, I started with the photoshoot with Matthew Lewis. D’ailleurs, très mauvais point pour la personne qui m’a envoyé boulet Moreover, very bad thing for the person who sent me ball but ultimately, I managed not to drop the piece, I had my picture with Matthew And it was just one with the photoshoot with Alfie Enoch, a boy really cool, still trying to laugh
Then in late morning, I went to shoot with Jessie Cave, who puts his arm around your waist for you to be right next to her.

Moreover, be called by the way, all the guests raised their arms and went around your waist for you to be very close to them

And in the afternoon, during the play of questions and answers, I went to queue to get my autograph Natalia Tena, who wrote a “nice” sentence in French (Really) the portion Matthew speaks a little French and knows very well “Liberty, Equality, Fraternity”, he came once 10 years ago in Paris.

Tom Felton, Rupert Grint and Matthew Lewis in Total Film Indonesia
Posted by Megs

In addition to Bonnie Wright and Evanna Lynch, we have the interviews that Matthew Lewis, Tom Felton and Rupert Grint did with Total Film Indonesia.  You can read all the interviews at the links on their names.  You can see the scans below and some segments from the interviews.

You start as a bully and end up being one of the more complex characters.
Tom Felton: Yeah, it’s a real journey, I think, for young Draco. I think Jo [Rowling] – I mean, I don’t know this for a fact – but I think he was written purposefully quite one-dimensional for the first five years as sort of a typical bully… to get the audience hating him, to get the audience knowing exactly what he is. And then on the sixth, we sort of go behind the scenes a bit and see his family, to meet his mother, who I think is a good representation of why maybe he was a bit softer than his dad. His dad is certainly more militant… he also bullies him to a small extent so that’s half the reason I think, why Draco is how he is. It’s been fantastic for me as an actor, really, to sort of play it one way and for it to be turned on its head and to completely go the other way with it… I was actually very nervous about the lack of stages of the character because I knew it was going to get a lot more complicated and I wasn’t really that confident in my ability. But David Yates set up several meetings to boost up my confidence and he’s really happy at the end of it.

Neville’s so heroic in the end, which is wonderful, so what’s your definition of a hero and who is your hero?
Matthew Lewis: Well, the Leeds Rhinos [his favorite rugby team] were my heroes, last night! I don’t know if you caught the game; they were unbelievable. But no, my real definition of a hero is… obviously, all the people who are in the Middle East right now. You know, those guys are the heroes. I don’t personally know anybody who’s out there, but I know friends of friends that are and it’s shocking. It’s wholly shocking that in the twenty-first century, that sort of thing still goes on. Those guys are out there, doing a job, and they don’t wanna be there, but they are, and I think that’s courage and heroic.

This time they’ve given you more deep, emotional stuff. How hard was it to do Ron’s jealousy and falling out with Harry?
Rupert Grint: Yeah, it was good. It was, I suppose, a different kind of side to Ron in this film. We don’t really see Ron kind of, um, turn against his friends that often. He really does have doubts with Harry’s ability and the fact that we’re not really getting anywhere with these Horcruxes kind of fuels that. He’s a bit jealous, as well, because he sees Hermione and Harry together, and he’s just not having a great time. It kind of erupts into a this bit of an argument. Those scenes are really quite good fun, actually. Whenever me and Dan are shouting at each other… it’s always great.

Harry Potter stars Matthew Lewis, James Phelps, Oliver Phelps and John Hurt have done drawings for the Willow Foundation that will go up for auction on November 26th.  The Willow Foundation raises money to provide special days for seriously ill 16 to 40 year olds throughout the UK.  Their drawings may be found below.

‘Special days aim to give seriously ill 16 to 40 year olds a break from the stress and difficult realities of diagnosis and treatment. They offer the chance to spend quality time with family and friends doing something they will all enjoy and creating precious memories.

The charity defines seriously ill as any condition that is life-threatening. This includes cancer, motor neuronedisease, cystic fibrosis, Duchenne muscular dystrophy, Huntington’s, organ failure and many others. All applications must meet the charity’s medical criteria and be endorsed by a medical professional involved in the individual’s care.

Willow strives to create a unique and unforgettable day that is tailored to the needs and dreams of every beneficiary. He or she chooses exactly what they would like to do on their special day and Willow aims to meet and, wherever possible, exceed their expectations, making the day truly special and memorable.’

Digital Spy Interviews James, Oliver and Matt
Posted by Megs

Digital Spy has posted new interviews with James and Oliver Phelps and Matthew Lewis.

Neville really steps up to the plate in Part 2 – have you been looking forward to that?
“Definitely. I spoke to Jo Rowling at the premiere of Harry Potter 5 and she said she’d written some great stuff for Neville in the new book and I was like, ‘I don’t want to hear anything – don’t tell me!’ And I read the book and I was like, ‘Bloody hell’. You don’t know what they’re going to keep in the film but you just think it could be incredible. There was so much in there for me. There was still the typical Neville bumbling around but he’s a bit more adrenalised and reckless and trying to be a hero – there’s a lot of action in here as well. There’s also some really heavy emotional stuff. A few moments when he’s on his own and can stop being this heroic leader for a moment and he just looks very tired and people are dying around him. There’s a scene when he’s carrying a dead child and I hope it’s still in the film because that’s when it hits home that it’s pretty horrible stuff they’re dealing with.”

It must have been good to have that transformation from a bumbler to hero…
“That’s why I think he’s such a great character. As an actor every year I’ve had to come back and add a little bit more depth and there’s something different in it. For me that’s great because it’s kept it fresh over the years rather than playing the same guy.”
Was there a moment when you realised how big Harry Potter had become?
Oliver: “Because we’re so close to it we don’t see the size. We always knew it was a big production, but at the first premiere there were a lot of people there and it’s just got bigger and bigger and bigger. When we first went in there was a big press in the Odeon in Leicester Square. The last premiere it took over three cinemas and there were about six or seven thousand people.”
James: “We were outside for three hours meeting people. It was absolutely hammering it down with rain as well and people had stayed out for all that time. I think they said there were about seven or eight thousand people in Leicester Square at the last premiere. That’s like, ‘Wow, this is big’, but I remember we were out on holiday in Mexico and I was in the sea and this middle-aged lady swam out and asked, ‘Are you in Harry Potter?’ I said ‘Yes’ and she said ‘OK’ and just swam away. That was a bit surreal.”
