There is a new interview with Helena Bonham Carter online.

While she was considering whether to accept the relatively small role in “Order of the Phoenix,” she says, “J.K. Rowling sent a message saying she’s going to be very significant in the last one.”

“At first they thought, `Oh, we’ll just put her in a sack,'” Bonham Carter said. “But I said, `There’s no way I’m going to wear a sack. I’ve got to be a sexy witch.'”

In the new issue of Entertainment Weekly there is a feature on Bellatrix Lestrange and Helena Bonham Carter. She talks about her costumes and more

“For much of the film, Bellatrix wears a slinky, stitched-together black ensemble that’s seen better days-think Catwoman after a blender. “I wanted her to be sorta falling apart at the seams, literally,” says Bonham Carter. “She’s very aristocratic, very posh. But there’s a Sunset Boulevard thing going on.”

Helena Bonham-Carter has done a new interview where she mentions filming Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix.

“I had five lines in that,” she says. “I think they cut three of them – and I was there for six weeks. I don’t know quite how, still, to this day, I was there for that long. It really is 90 per cent waiting. I mean, nice waiting – waiting’s OK if you’ve got a trailer. I just sleep. I’m a very good sleeper. And it is quite amazing to meet all these oldu2026” she pauses, giggling. “It’s like a rest-home for British Equity, and we’re all lying around and chatting. You can’t look to huge job satisfaction, but it’s nice to be part of it. And,” she adds matter-of-factly, “it’s fun to be a witch.”

Harry Potter actress Helena Bonham Carter, who plays Bellatrix, appeared on the Johnathon Ross show tonight in the UK.  She talked about her role in the movie and said that over the twelve weeks she was filming, she only had 5 lines, and three of those lines were cut.  They also showed a short trailer with the same things as the other two trailers.
