The Daily Mail is reporting that Michelle Obama, the American first lady, along with her daughters Malia and Sasha, will visit the set of Deathly Hallows today.
Today the Obamas will strike out west to Pinewood, where filming is under way on Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. The girls, both avid Potter fans, are expected to meet Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson and the other stars of the movie. The family will get a private tour understood to be conducted by Joshua Berger, an American who heads Warner Brothers UK.
Despite multiple media reports of the visit, Vanessa Davies who does press for various Harry Potter cast members and events, denied there was a visit to the set planned. Speaking to ABC news she said “There is no Obama visit, not as far as I know. I feel I would be in the loop if there was such a visit.”
The August 2009 issue of Sci Fi magazine has a new six page article on Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince. There are interviews with director David Yates, Daniel Radcliffe, Tom Felton, production designer Stuart Craig, and Matthew Lewis.

Harry Potter stars Bonnie Wright, Tom Felton, James Phelps and Oliver Phelps attended the French Fnac press signing for Half-Blood Prince. You can see photos over at Oclumencia and BWO. There is also a video online which you can see below!
There is a new report online stating that the release date for the IMAX version of Half-Blood Prince has been delayed. It is now said to come out July 29th.
The film will open in 35mm theaters on the 15th; however, it will not open in IMAX theaters until the 29th. Basically what happened is IMAX Corporation signed a contract with Paramount guaranteeing them a 4 week exclusive window if they filmed parts of Transformers 2 with IMAX cameras onto IMAX film (something that is quite a bit more expensive). Unfortunately that was back when Harry Potter was due to open November 2008 and when Warner Bros. pushed back the opening date Paramount was not willing to renegotiate the contract it had signed with IMAX.
This has not been confirmed by WB yet so stay tuned!
UPDATE: It has been confirmed. Additionally, one IMAX in New York and another in Los Angeles, will play the film from July 14th.
