Pink News has a new review of Half-Blood Prince on their site!
While the special effects, comical interludes and smiles are all present, the Half Blood Prince shows us a darker side of Hogwarts in the run up to the final piece of J.K. Rowling’s modern classic. Young adults will no doubt find the cleverly woven character relationships somewhat closer to their hearts than most, but not to the detriment of the overall story. The Half Blood Prince can be seen not only as part of a seven-strong series of books, but as a prologue to the Deathly Hallows. Obviously a must see for the fans, and one which, if you were disappointed by the lengthy delays last year, nothing will keep you from enjoying.
Thanks to my friend Michael for letting me know that he pre-bought his Half-Blood Prince tickets and the runtime is listed at 2 hours and 55 minutes! I am not positive this is correct, but if the theater has it listed at that, it is probably true. So thats good news!
James & Oliver Phelps (Fred & George Weasley) will be attending a Half-Blood Prince premiere in Finland next month. The event will take place in Helsinki on July 16th. It starts at Tennispalatsi at 4:30pm and the movie wish start at 6pm.
In a new interview, Ben Shepard talks about being in Half-Blood Prince.
“My parents always insisted I kept my hair short and smart, but in Harry Potter I have long locks and a moustache, which unfortunately was very ticklish,” chuckled Ben. “I play a wizarding parent at the opening of Weasleys‘ Wizard Wheezes, which is a joke shop run by Ron’s brothers – it was just the most beautiful, stunning and exciting set.”
In ITV’s Behind the Magic documentary Ben gained exclusive access to the set, plus he interviewed the film’s young stars, Daniel Radcliffe (Harry), Rupert Grint (Ron Weasley) and Emma Watson (Hermione Granger). And Ben discovered there’s a lot of romance in the new movie. “Considering it’s quite a dark story, there’s tonnes of snogging and romance going on because Harry falls for Ginny and there’s a three-way tug of love between Ron, Hermione and fellow student Lavender Brown,” says Ben.
The Leaky Cauldron have found an iTunes podcast of an exclusive clip from Half-Blood Prince showing Harry and Dumbledore entering the cave. It is introduced by the Trio and can be downloaded via this link.
