Chris Rankin let us know through Twitter that today was his last day playing Percy Weasley in the Potter films. A very sad day indeed, even though I dislike Percy 😉 (Chris is awesome though)
So I think today is my last day filming Harry Potter…. God…10 years of my life may well be over come
Midnight tonight…!
As much as I’m really terribly sad about finishing, I’m excited to see what will come next! Although another ten years and I’ll be 36…!
Having said it’s my last day, it’s raining and we’re shooting exterior… Will keep you all posted! Should I have checked out of the hotel?!
Well we’ve done some shooting but it’s wet…! Proper welled up mid take just now! Fortunately I fits with the scene though!
Those of you asking And guessing what scene it is we’re filming, you know I can’t possibly tell you!
And the rest is silence… Done, finished, no more. *sadface*
The Press Association has a new interview with Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows actor Guy Henry. Guy will be playing the new Minister of Magic Pius Thicknesse.
Speaking at the press night of West End show All My Sons, the actor said: “It’s like the invasion of a small country, the schedule. I don’t know how they get it all together.”
He went on: “David Yates, the director, goes rushing from one unit to another, directing one scene with one bunch of actors and then to another scene from the other movie with another bunch of actors. If he ever has a break he goes to the editing suite and starts editing the first film so it’s ready for Christmas. I’ve never seen anything like it.” The 49-year-old said he feels “very fortunate” to be part of the movie franchise, which is coming to an end.
He said of Harry Potter star Daniel Radcliffe, with whom he had some scenes, “He’s a gent of the first water. He’s delightful.”
EA, the makers of the Harry Potter video games, have released a bunch of new promos and information about the Deathly Hallows video game! Firstly there is a press release letting us know that there will be TWO games, one for Part I and another for Part II. You can also watch the first trailer for the game below.
Part one will be released this autumn on “all major gaming platforms”, says EA, and represents “a shift in tone” for the Harry Potter games because it’s the first that will take place outside of Hogwarts. “On the run with a horde of merciless enemies on their tail, players will find themselves in unknown territory, far from the safety of the school grounds, fighting for survival at every turn,” reads the official blurb. The first part will be an action-packed affair, the publisher promises, with creatures from previous films as well as the upcoming adversaries in the seventh adventure. “The final Harry Potter adventure has given us the opportunity to make a darker and more action-oriented game than we have before,” said EA Bright Light VP, Jonathan Bunney of the game.
