Well while I was sleeping the site has reached 300,000 hits!!!!!  We reached 200,000 on July 21st 2008 and 100,000 on December 27th 2007. Slowly climbing the ladder!

So I just wanted to take this time to thank all of you loyal visitors, and those of you visiting for the first time!  I work on this site for you guys (and myself because I love it) so knowing you guys enjoy it to means a lot!  Thanks!

Today, Matthew Lewis has confirmed on his Twitter that Bonnie Wright does not have a Twitter, he also states that the only Potter stars he knows of with Twitter are James, Oliver and Tom.  So remember if you see ANY Dan, Emma and Rupert twitters it is NOT THEM!  The same goes for Facebook, even if they have accounts they will not add fans!

• The only Twitters that I know are real are James and Ollie Phelps and Tom Felton. Others may be but I don’t know! Bonnie’s definitely aren’t
• I spoke to Bonnie yesterday. She doesn’t have a Twitter. I’ll be sure to let you know if she becomes a convert!
• I’m sure other people at the studio have them but I can only tell you about the ones that I know for a fact are real.

Vanity Fair has a new interview with director David Yates!

Why did you and Warners decide to split the last installment, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows into two parts?
Three reasons. One is it’s a huge book so there’s so much stuff in it. You go through the list of things you want to put in the movie and there’s so many huge set pieces that by the time you get to the end of it you kind of go, “Whoa this would be the most expensive movie of all time.” Far more expensive than any conventional blockbuster. You have to find a way of somehow keeping all the things you want to do, so it is easy to split it across two films. [Screenwriter] Steve Kloves was working on the adaptation as we were shooting Half-Blood Prince and he just rounded us up and said, “Look guys I am having a real problem stuffing this story into two-and-a-half hours. I think narratively this might suit two parts.” There was that. I get frustrated when fans say, ‘Why didn’t you put this in or put that in?’ So it was a combination of the adaptation process and the fact that I just want to give the audience everything we can from the book, basically.

MakeupMag has a new interview with Nick Dudman, a make-up artist for the Potter films, and he talks about Fenrir Greyback.

In terms of actual make-up, Greyback is the film’s biggest creation, which Dudman and his team have designed as a seven-piece silicone prosthetic. “He’s a character with a great deal of fine hair all over him,” Dudman explained. “In the old days, if you were doing a werewolf, you would just lay loose hair on an actor, but nowadays the camera would pick that up, plus it’s such a coarse technique, it would be different every day.

“What we’ve done is punch fine goat hair into the pieces and pre-paint them, so when we apply the make-up, it won’t take as long. Because the hair has been punched, there’s no glue, so the movement will be freer. The reason we use fur is because it’s tapered and very fine. If you use human hair, yak or any other hair, because it’s been cut, it’s the same length at both ends and has a coarser flavor, whereas fur sits nicely close to the skin.

“The reason we’ve designed the make-up in seven pieces, including the ears, is that if it was just two pieces, maneuvering the silicone into position and gluing it accurately would become very difficult, so you choose sizes that you can manipulate and to allow a time frame that makes the make-up practical.”
